Description: Red Jet Cafe focuses on free trade organic specialty coffee service, fresh fruit smoothies, wood-fired pizzas, and Grand Rapids' most authentic crepe selection. Breakfast is served from open to close and features a diverse menu, including crepes, Challah Bread French Toast, Skillets, Scrambles and unique breakfast wraps. The Crepes are phenomenal, with both savory and sweet selections. Red Jet resides inside what used to be the Creston Library, and is classically beautiful with fresh new overtones like hip modern art and an engagingly modern decor. The wood-fired pizza menu is vast and includes several options for the adventurous diner. There is also a nice selection of traditional entrees and Craft Artisan Bakery goodies. The environment is safe and friendly, the service is top notch. During the summer our patio is open and provides a great summer dining experience.

“Jet There For Breakfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

Been wanting to go for some time and finally had the chance. Went last Saturday morning with my wife and my dad. It was 9:30, but it was not real busy so we got seated right away. The waitress was very prompt and extremely helpful. The menu pleasantly different from most breakfast places and offered a lot of choices, but not the good old bacon, eggs, hash browns, etc. Instead it was exciting and fresh with many tough choices to make. Crepes, paninis, omelets, baked french toast, and some really cool combinations. I had the Red Jet Scramble and it was probably the best egg dish I have had in many years. It was scrambled egg, smoked bacon, chorizo sausage, ham, red onions, bell peppers, potatoes, and a great cheese blend plus muffin toast. The peach jam was made in house! SHWEET! My wife had the Pear & Apple crepe filled with slow cooked bourbon d'anou pears and granny smith apples with a goat cheese cream and peppered walnuts. She loved it. Now my 89 year old Dad got adventurous and had the baked french toast and absolutely loved it. He always orders bacon extra crispy and it came perfectly crisp 3 thick strips of great bacon.

Service was great, we wanted to try out the homemade pies, but only ended up getting Dad a piece of blackberry, one of his favorites, to go. Prices were reasonable for what you were served. The atmosphere was really neat with the sun streaming into the old bank lobby, and it was the perfect way to start the day. Nicely done, Red Ball.

“Love the food but it takes forever”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

The service is the worst I've had. I have been multiple times since it opened and while I love the food, but it takes forever, orders are forgotten and the meal is tainted each time.

“Terrible Service and Cold Food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2012

My fiance and I went to red jet for a date tonight and i was appalled at the service. The waitress spilled a class of water on me by accident that I'm not mad about these things happen ok but she laughed and said she would get me a towel. Then proceeded to go talk to another table of people that she knew and never brought me a towel. Our order took 35 mins to get to our table. An omelet and i ordered maui maui tacos. When they arrived they were cold the cheese in the omelet was not even melted. When we ask the waitress if she could take it back and melt the cheese she took it and set it down while she talked to the table of the people she knew. This was outside on the patio. This paints a bad image of the waitress and she did a terrible job but when we walked it to pay the bill she was the only wait staff and was trying to man 15 tables . Owners hire more wait staff you have lost a up until this point a fan.
