Been wanting to go for some time and finally had the chance. Went last Saturday morning with my wife and my dad. It was 9:30, but it was not real busy so we got seated right away. The waitress was very prompt and extremely helpful. The menu pleasantly different from most breakfast places and offered a lot of choices, but not the good old bacon, eggs, hash browns, etc. Instead it was exciting and fresh with many tough choices to make. Crepes, paninis, omelets, baked french toast, and some really cool combinations. I had the Red Jet Scramble and it was probably the best egg dish I have had in many years. It was scrambled egg, smoked bacon, chorizo sausage, ham, red onions, bell peppers, potatoes, and a great cheese blend plus muffin toast. The peach jam was made in house! SHWEET! My wife had the Pear & Apple crepe filled with slow cooked bourbon d'anou pears and granny smith apples with a goat cheese cream and peppered walnuts. She loved it. Now my 89 year old Dad got adventurous and had the baked french toast and absolutely loved it. He always orders bacon extra crispy and it came perfectly crisp 3 thick strips of great bacon.
Service was great, we wanted to try out the homemade pies, but only ended up getting Dad a piece of blackberry, one of his favorites, to go. Prices were reasonable for what you were served. The atmosphere was really neat with the sun streaming into the old bank lobby, and it was the perfect way to start the day. Nicely done, Red Ball.
