“Destination Location in the Summer”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

During the summer the expansive deck is always packed and the scent of grilling meats waft throughout the busy little village of Glen Arbor. Live music keeps the place hopping during the summer. We stopped in late afternoon in April for a late lunch and had to wait ... and wait .... and wait. If another five minutes has passed, we were going elsewhere. It's glorified bar food but the atmosphere is fun during the summer.

“Not clean, food-stand quality”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2014

This was our second visit in as many years. We sat on the outdoor patio. I ordered a $10 Michigan Salad and the rest of my family ordered burger or chicken entrees with fries. Our waitress never smiled once. While waiting for our order, we noticed a man wiping down the top of the counters, etc.. with the same cloth he wiped down the top of a garbage can. At our table the condiments were filthy. there was dirt and hair caked to the side of the salt and pepper. We were delivered no less than four pails filled with plastic eating utensils/napkins. The items were packed so tight in them it was almost impossible to pull out what we needed. We'd get one pail and 2 minutes later, staff would come swap the pail with another. This happened so many times we were laughing and my husband joked that maybe the pails were 'bugged'. It was weird! Received my Michigan salad in a small, black, rectangular plastic storage-type dish. It looked like an out-of-the bag salad with a packet of Paul Newman salad dressing - not very good. The remaining entrees looked to be the type you could get at the food stand at a hockey game. We were not impressed at all-especially for the price, and have no desire to go back.

“Great atmosphere on the deck!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014 via mobile

We left the Dune's after 3 hours of hiking to Lake Michigan and back and decided to eat in Glen Arbor. Boone Dock's looked like a fun place and we wanted to eat on the deck. It was a great atmosphere with live music on a Wednesday night, the perch was very good, and the Michigan Beer "Honey Lav" was excellent!

“Nice staff with average food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

Someone's invested a lot of capital in this facility and the nice complex it's in. Above average ambiance for a small tourist town. We stopped here, as many folks do, after our trip to Sleeping Bear Park. The young staff was very pleasant and cordial, but the food was average at best. My wife's cheesy bread sticks were uneatable and my Cobb salad was institutional at best, but you have to remember they're in a very, very small town.
