I have been coming to treetops for the past 20 or so years, at first for skiing then golf, skiing was never a problem it is a good place to learn how to ski, or take the younger kids, it is not challenging at all but a nice place to spend the day.
In the past the staff at the golf course had issues with rudeness, if you wallet was not stacked with 100 dollar bills you got an attitude from them, over the past 3 years that has changed to the point the Staff are the shining star next to the golf courses.
If you want to golf, make your tee times weeks in advance this place books up on the better courses. We stayed there a few weeks ago using a Group golfer package, there was a miscommunication when making reservations I’m not sure if it was my fault or the resorts but at check in it was addressed within seconds by the girl checking us in, she did not need to make a phone call or call her boss, she took hold of the issue and fixed it, She told us the hotel and lodge were booked and thinking the problem was on my end I told her we would stay somewhere else, She had none of that and put us up in a condo with an outstanding few of the color change. The only down side I can see with the resort is that it is dated and is in desperate need of a face lift. I have stayed both at the hotel and now the condos, the hotel is the same as it was in the 80s and it needed updated then, the condos were nice but in need of new carpet, paint and TVs, the door to the deck would not open due to a broken latch and a painting that should have been on the wall pulled out and fell on the dresser, these issues are not deal breakers just disappointing. If you stay on the weekends and like 70’s-90’s rock you have to go see the house Band Jeff and Sue, they are loads of fun and have a people that come back weekend after weekend to see them “So sad too bad Garland you lost the best part of your resort to treetops” I am seeing improvements at Treetops and I think fixing the attitude of the staff was the place to start, now that that is fixed I’m looking forward to the long overdue upgrades to the lodging
