We went for one day to the waterpark. We live in Michigan and wanted to do something fun. Upon our arrival, we were greeted very warmly by the front desk. We arrived in the late AM expecting to pay for the full day. After having a lovely conversation with the reception people about nothing to do with the waterpark, she graciously reduced the charge to the half day rate! I am a firm believer in always treating people the way you want to be treated and I have had very good success with it for the most part. The waterpark is great for younger kids (0-10). We went with our 6 month , 3 year old and 8 and 9 year old niece and nephew. All of them had a great time including the baby! It is pretty small, so I can see it being a little uncomfortable on crowded days. We were there on a full but not packed day on the weekend. Very comfortable for us as we were able to find seats for everyone and not have to stand in any long lines to get on the slides. The life guards on duty are watching every ride, so I felt very safe and secure. There were plenty of towels to use and the facilty was very clean. We did eat on site, and what we ordered was very good. I did notice the stronger than usual chlorine smell talked about in earlier reviews, but didn't find it irritating to me or any of the kids. Some people are probably more sensitive to it than us I guess. All in all it was a great place to visit for the day and we will definately be back.

We stayed here one night during spring break with two twelve year old girls. We just wanted to do something fun and close to home and thought a waterpark would be a nice break from the harsh winter we've had.. The hotel was very clean, service was friendly and the location is great. However, the waterpark was disappointing. We've been to many other indoor waterparks and this one was by far the worst. They had all the typical waterpark attractions such as spilling bucket, slides, lilly pad jumper, etc. The problem is that they crammed it all into a tiny space. There is no room to sit let alone room to even walk around. There are only a few tables to sit at and then single chairs lined up around the walls. I have never seen such little seating at a waterpark. The lazy river was so crammed with people you could hardly move through it. We expected it to be crowded, however had the space of the waterpark been bigger I dont think it would have been as big of an issue. Everything else about the hotel itself was great, but the reason we went was for the waterpark and since that was disappointing we wouldnt choose to go back. There was also alot of noise in the halls (screaming, running kids and slamming doors). A couple other reviews mentioned the strong chlorine and we did notice this also.

The place is a family hotel with the lobby full of mushrooms and trees with plastic animals hanging off the branches; it gives a cute feel to the hotel. The food is not good at all, very basic and greasy but the town offers a lot of great choices and would recommend eating out.
The rooms were big with one being split level and are always clean. There was a bed on the top floor with a TV and two beds plus a pull out couch and another TV on the main floor. The room was big and inviting. The staff is also friendly and we go here every year for shopping.
The water park is very fun. It was a little crowded and full of kids so be careful, however if you go on the waterslide which is fun asked to be “flushed.” CAUTION: This will make you go down at high speeds, not recommended for small children, but teenagers and young adults go nuts!
Fitness centre very small and basic. Just a few machines, would not reccomend using.
Although they also had a fun room, like a chucky cheese with tolkens which was also fun, you could win prizes.

Splash Village was what the reviews say. The rooms are OK. They are hotel rooms, not luxurious hotel suites. The beds are average and the pillows far below average. Housekeeping did a very poor job. however, we had a 2 year old that loved the water park. It is much smaller than Great Wolf, with less to do. That proved to be beneficial for us. He was not as intimidated and seemed to play for longer periods of time.

We would go back to Splash Village again for the right price. The restaurant was fine and the service very good. We feel as though we got what we paid for.

We just returned from Splash Village and going there assumed that we were going to have a great time. Check-in time is 4 p.m. and we arrived at 3p.m. our room wasn't ready until 4p.m. We reserved a suite and the beds were uncomfortable and so were the pillows.
The heating system can't be regulated our room was very hot, so we had to turn on the air conditioning to cool the room down. Then it got too cold.
The property also allows people not staying at the property to go to the waterpark and it was very crowded, constantly bumping into people. In the morning the pool opens at 9a.m. and there was already a line of people not staying at the property waiting to go swiming.
There is only one elevator and had to wait 5 mins. or so for the elevator. We ordered pizza from a location in Frankenmuth and asked them to deliver, said they couldn't deliver due to the resturant being on site. So I had to go and get the pizza it was a huge inconvenience.
My husband forgot toothpaste and guest services said that they didn't have any, but had to buy some. After all the money we spent to stay here one night they just expect you to keep spending more.
