“New Haven Pizza in MI”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2012

This pizza is the closest I've found to my all-time favorite -- Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana in New Haven, CT, and no surprise, the owner of Tomatoes learned how to make pizza at Pepe's (and others?) in CT. It is wonderful and worth going out of your way to try. Also note that one location has a lunch buffet done right, unexpected for this type of premium pie.

“Best Pizza Buffet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2012

I am pizza fanatic but not too keen on pizza buffets however that all changed Tuesday. Im new to Farmington Hills, Michigan so my professor gave us a list of the best restaurants in the area and Tomatoes Apizza was rated #1 for pizza. I took a look at the website but wasn't very impressed, needless to say looks can be deceiving. A group of classmates and I decided to try it on Tuesday for lunch since we got out of class early. Boy was it delicious!! $9 all you can eat pizza and salad buffet. The pizza was cooked in a coal-fired oven and even though it isn't the best pizza Ive ever had it is damn near close to it and it is for damn sure the best pizza buffet Ive ever been to. If there is something you want that is not out they will make it for you!! They are constantly putting new pizza out and the salad was fresh and crispy! I was extremely impressed and look forward to making weekly lunch trips!

“Magazine was correct”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2012

This pizzeria was written up in the Foodtv magazine. Coal fired pizza, thin crust and a good fresh salad bar. Our waitress was great and explained things to us. We talked to the pizza maker and he was very good and answered any questions we had. A great place and we would go again.

“Thin crust brooklyn style pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

Very thin, light on toppings, uneven crust (as in not round) brick oven style pizza. It was tasty, but not the style of pizza many like. I enjoyed it
