Stayed here from Aug 15-18th. If you are looking for a place to park your camper and explore the surrounding area then this campground is perfect. If you are looking to stick around the campground all day then this is not the place for you.
I say this because the campground is cramped, well maintained, but cramped. Many of the sites appear to have large RVs parked on them for extended periods of time, so you won't find any privacy. You won't find any trails connected to the campground and the lake looks it is meant for fishing rather than swimming.
If you are looking for a place to park, eat, and sleep then this place is perfect. The bathrooms are clean and private. There is a private door to each bathroom which include a sink, toilet, shower and mirror, very nice. There are plenty of beaches to swim at with lake Michigan right across the street.
I'd definitely stay again, just know it's not for those who want to hang around the campsite all day. It's certainly meant as a home base to come back to after exploring.
