Surprisingly, Lansing has several different options for middle eastern cuisine throughout the area. Woody's Oasis is one such example.
It offers a casual dine-in atmosphere. But it is almost as quick as fast food. Don't let this aspect lead you to believe that as a result the food quality is lacking. In fact, just the opposite is true. Everything comes out fresh, hot, and delicious.
There are both vegetarian and meat options on the menu -- both offerings equal in number. While I have yet to have anything bad at Woody's, I would recommend the following, and I will separate them by meat/vegetarian:
Kibbe (Baked or Fried)
Hashwi (Rice, chicken, pine nuts and lamb)
Mujadara (cooked lentils with various spices and seasonings
Falafel (spicy or original)
For those who have not tried middle eastern cuisine before, Woody's is a great way to experience the food since the menus is extensive and everything is reasonably priced.
