We visited Paul Revere's Tavern for the first time in a few years on Saturday, April 7, 2012. We were quite impressed by their list of craft brews, many from Michigan including Bells, Dark Horse and Founders. I'm not usually one for appetizers, but we had to try the house made Mozza Mia - triangles of mozzarella, lightly breaded in seasoned crumbs and fried until golden. They were served with marinara and a kind of a creamy Caesar dressing. We got a large pizza with ground beef, onions and mushrooms. It was quite tasty. The crust is a little thicker than what I expect of New York style pizza, which is how they advertise their za, but it was a delicious dough and we really did enjoy the pizza. Both the dough and the sauce are made at the Tavern. The only drawback was canned mushrooms - I would probably skip mushrooms in the future. Our dinner companions had the Hawaiian Pizza - it had bbq sauce, pineapple and ham. I didn't try it, but they said it was fantastic and ate more than they should have. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Paul Revere's Tavern if you've never been or if it has been a while, like it was for us.
