“Satisfied Customer!”

Doubletree Hotel Dearborn

Feb 29, 2008

We booked through Hotwire to get a good rate. Upon arrival, it didn't appear to be in a great area but we weren't walking so it was fine. It's in a corporate area and headquarters such as Ford are very close. Fairlane Mall is only a mile away. I was greeted by the very friendly desk clerk and welcomed to the property. After checking me in, she provided warm chocolate chip cookies. I had a friend with me who was not staying at the hotel but she gave them a cookie as well. We found our room to be a corner king. It was roomy and decorated quite nicely. Everything we encountered was clean. The pool and 2 jacuzzi's were a joy to use after a long day. It was nice that after 10pm it was adults only. I'd have to say that the fitness center is one of the best I've seen in a hotel. They had Precor equipment and it was top notch. My husband and I became ill during the night and were feeling awful come morning. A request for late check out was not a problem. All communication with the staff was friendly and helpful. I did not use the restaurant so I can't comment on that. Chili's is basically in the parking lot and Red Robin is next door. I felt completely safe at this property as well. All outside doors require key cards to enter. Key cards are also needed to operate the elevators. A security car circled the property. It was a nice experience and I'd definitely recommend this propety.

“Good times, good hotel”

This is a very good hotel. I had an excellent corporate rate, but I would probably not pay their rack rate for one of the rooms. The restaurant is questionable. (I once received spoiled milk.) As for the staff, they are awesome! The GM is an excellent guy and will bend over backwards for anyone who stays at this property. I would recommend a room that does NOT face the Southfield Freeway, as that can be fairly noisy. The beds are very comfortable, the suites are great (if you can score one, consider yourself privileged), and parking is adequate (except when there is a car show.) Location is "so-so", as it overlooks a rather shady area and is not a place you would want your mother to walk alone at during the night. However, if you have a car (You're in Detroit, so you should!), you're close to most everything in Dearborn.

“Really Liked the Doubletree”

Doubletree Hotel Dearborn

Jan 13, 2008

I enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree. The room was clean and spacious. I liked the fact that they had a 24-hour business center where you could access the internet for free. Chili's restaurant was so close you could walk there. I would definitely go back.

“Great Stay Great Hotel”

Doubletree Hotel Dearborn

Dec 23, 2007

I read the reviews and decided to stay at this property. The front desk staff was EXCELLENT. The room was clean and had no scent or smell at all. Housekeeping does a great job. The breakfast in the morning was very good as well. I will definitely stay here again next time in Detroit.

This hotel is fabulous. My husband & I booked the Henry Ford Package. The receptionist was really welcoming and helped us with all our questions including finding a road map of Detroit for us, then after handing us warm cookies, walked us to the elevators. She also drew a map to show us the quickest way to The Henry Ford. (The Michigan left turn!) The facilities are as everyone else has described, very nice and free wireless internet so you can send your holiday snaps home before you get home yourself!
