My expectations were not high attending a conference at the MGM, but they definitely exceeded them. The rooms were very nice (spacious, new and clean) and the service was good. The hotel restaurants were also very good and I enjoyed the casino as well.

This was a return trip for us and it was somewhat disappointing. We came to getaway, relax and enjoy some of Detroit's great places to eat. The room was very nice. We especially loved the comfortable bed with the the big TV mounted on the wall at the end of it. The bathroom was great with a terrific shower and it was very clean. There was valet parking, which was free, and a nice perk, however it was slow at times and not well organized.

The big difference between this year and last year when we were here is the service. The service was lacking this time and it was disappointing. The hotel is not inexpensive and the service was not up to par. When we checked in, we were asked which newspaper we would prefer to have delivered to our door each morning. Then the the wrong paper was delivered. We were charged for calling the front desk to inquire about their restaurant. They do not have many dining options at this time as they are in the process of opening two new restaurants having closed the existing two restaurants. As I mentioned previously, the valets stood around while we waited either to get our car or to leave our car. When we checked out, there was a long line and only one person at the front desk, and she was the concierge - not the person who regularly handles checking out. We did not get a bill under our door or have any other way to do an "express" check-out. It took quite awhile.

Next year, we will look for a different place. We have come to really appreciate good service and when it is not there, it is readily apparent.

We stayed one night. The bed was very comfortable. Staff all accommodating. Lovely bathroom. (TV in bathroom) Modern decor but not all quite to my taste. Lovely nonetheless. Valet parking was free, a nice perk. Wireless signal on 15th floor was weak.

I had made a reservation mistake and the front desk clerk fixed it graciously. 17th floor concierge floor breakfast was decent. Oatmeal, breakfast burrito, fruit, pastries, juice.

It's not cheap.

This hotel is beautiful. The staff is amazing, we were in the concierge suite and it was huge! When you walk in you walk down this hallway (yes, in the room) and straight ahead is a bathroom and to the left is the livingroom area. Couch, Chair, Table and four chairs with the table (which does not feel crammed), a full mini bar and ALSO an empty fridge just in case you have food or beer in our case to keep cold without worrying about the minibar. The bedroom was very spacious with a blackout window so when the sun rises in the am you are not blinded by the bright light, t.v in both the livingroom and bedroom as well as the bathroom! The bathroom had a deep tub which the t.v was hanging on the wall. Double sink bathroom and the shower and toilet are side by side by both seperated and have doors to both, the shower has mulitple shower heads which was neat. I am very satisifed with our stay and will stay here again!
