We were on our way to a Tigers’ game at Comerica Park and decided to try yet another Mexicantown restaurant. What a nice surprise after having a bit of a displeasure from a previous restaurant in Detroit Mexicantown. This restaurant has décor that is pretty Mexican style. The music was not too overpowering Mexican. We arrived during ‘happy hour’ and were seated quickly. Their Margaritas are fabulous! The meal came quickly, spiced ‘just right’. We did ask our Mexican waitress what she would prefer between the beef/chicken in our burritos and botanas. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable. They have ‘security’ driving around the parking lot. We went during the early evening-daylight hours, so I’m not sure what happens when it gets dark, but we felt quite safe. The restrooms were clean. There is plenty of space for diners. With drinks and dinner, our total was under 23.00. The previous place we visited “during lunch” cost us over $30.00 (see our other reviews). You’ve got to try Mi Pueblo. Fantastic food!
