The Wintergarden is why it does 3 instead of 2. The Wintergarden is really cool! Other than that, the Renaissance Center is just a confusing, cold, dark cave of concrete, like many other of John Portman's buildings. The food court is really good though, lots of choices and the place is bright, and not unwelcoming. Not many shops. The tour is good, and you should try to go to the top for the view. The Marriott lobby is a nice place to relax. Really just a couple minute passer-by. It dominates the skyline in a bad way, and is just not much of a building. I love Detroit, but this is a turn-off. Sorry.
