I've dined at plenty of dim sum places and while this is the only one in midtown Detroit, I really can't complain for its convenience. The service was a tad bit slow but then one has to expect that for dim sum served in a non-push cart method (authentic dim sum places have carts of food constantly circling the diners). The drinks came fast which was nice. The atmosphere isn't exactly nouveau Asian and I can't exactly put my finger on what it's supposed to be. At $3.25- 4.00 a plate for dim sum I thought the prices were a little steep considering the size of the portions. The selection isn't is as extensive as some of their competitors over in Windsor nor its West Bloomfield location. It obviously fills a niche in serving up something unique in the area and a lot of Asian students seem to flock here for a taste of home cooking. The food's tasty but I still wish for a larger more extensive menu to sample and try. There are some of us who are willing to experiment and try other things too!
