This is an excellent place to stay. The location is right next to the Detroit Institute of Art, and is on a quiet street. The rooms are very large, very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff is helpful and efficient. The breakfasts are excellent with lots of fresh fruit, muffins, waffles, coffee and fruit juices. The complimentary driver service within a 5 mile radius is a perk, the drivers are punctual and courteous. The free Wifi in the rooms is great for the business traveler.

We stayed in the Roehm Room- it has it's own balcony- and the room was cozy and beautiful. The service at the Inn on Ferry is GREAT- staff is friendly and knowledgeable- we felt welcome right away. The shuttle is terrific! Breakfast is served buffet style and is delicious. We will return.

I STRONGLY recommend this hotel. For Detroit, it is in a great location (especially if you want to go to any festivals). It is unique, clean, and historic. The rooms are smaller, in a more European fashion, but aesthetically pleasing. There are about four of the old mansions with the rooms converted over for visitors. The main floors of the mansions are communual living rooms. I really liked the set-up.

Also, the area is safe and parking is free. Breakfast was standard with regards to contents, but the sitting area was absolutely adorable.

I grew up in Detroit and as an experienced citizen, I strongly recommend this hotel to incoming travelers. I don't know how else to stress how much I dig this place. It's also next to the DIA.

This is a cozy, intimate and comfortable hotel. Very charming with a wonderful breakfast and great service. The shuttle is always at your disposal as are the staff. It was quiet and safe and I highly recommend it.

Very Impressed. It's one of the few good choices in Detroit.

I have to be honest, I'm always wary of inns and cottages. But my wife convinced me to try this out. It was only for two days so I reluctantly agreed.

When I walked in, I was very surprised. This place is like a house. Very comfortable, nice and very well maintained. It was a nice change from the crappy hotels I've stayed in the past (like Marrakech in NY). It was all the little things that really impressed me though. They have a complimentary van/shuttle that takes you anywhere within a 5 mile radius, which is good because the area isn't especially great. The room came with cookies and a bottled water - and it was FREE unlike other hotels. It also had a CD player with a stack of CDs (wide range of music). It had a fireplace, which they obviously shut off during the summer. My wife was really happy about the cotton balls and Q-tips they provided (which apparently helps with her make up). There were just so many little things that really added up.

Check-in/check-out was a breeze. Parking wasn't a problem either. You park behind the inns and it seemed pretty safe.

I will be uploading some pictures with this review as well. Overall, I give it 5 stars. I would stay here again without any hesitation.
