My partner and I visited Cliff Bells during Detroit Restaurant week. Their special menu was inventive, seasonal and really very tasty. I started with the Roasted Butternut Squash Bisque and he got the Corn Nut-crusted Wild White Shrimp. Then I had the Short Rib and he got the special steak for the day. The food was prepared and presented beautifully. The serving sizes were just right, not too big or small. The desserts were just a taste of something sweet. Also, you can't not talk about the drinks. We had a few of their signature cocktails and they were to die for! In addition to the great food, the service was excellent. The ambiance wasn't too dark but just right to be romantic without feeling like someone just turned the lights off. Plus the recently restored restaurant was absolutely beautiful. There's jazz every night and the night we were there, there was a good local trio. We're definitely going back!
