El Charritos has an additional location in Flint and there had previously been a location in downtown Lapeer. This reviewer has visited all three locations and has found the service to be wanting at times. It's almost a given that service will be painfully slow. It wasn't uncommon to see one waitress valiantly trying to serve the entire room of lunchtime diners; it appears that it seems to be a standard staffing issue. If you are experiencing time constraints, call ahead for takeout or stop by when you don't have the constraints. Waitstaff is generally pleasant though. The food is quite good and is reasonably priced. Chips and salsa aren't free, but they're worth ordering as the salsa is delightful with cilantro and the price is nominal. Their fried ice cream is quite good, too. Meat dishes tend to be served with a Mexican type of gravy over them. It's not a fancy chain, but it's locally owned, reasonably priced, and delicious. The main drawback is that the service is so slow.
