“Nice find in SW Michigan”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

Six of us had a lovely lunch here. Two had the special burgers of the day, three had the gazpacho (topped with a dab of guacamole and crab claw) and my husband had a crab cake. Everything was quite fine! Of course, being at a winery, we shared a bottle of Michigan Chardonnay. Service was professional and very pleasant.

Afterwards there was a 30 minute tour of the vineyards and wine-making operation---well done and just long enough.

I'd recommend reservations (the restaurant was pretty full for a Friday lunch).

“Vineyards, Vino and great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012

We visit this restaurant several times a year for special occasions. On Wednesday, we were a party of four. Two ordered the Pecan Crusted Raspberry Chicken and two ordered the salmon wrapped in grape leaves, all prepared and presented well. Sides were awesome with the hands down favorites being the seasonal vegetable succotash and the saffron rice. YUM! We are always too full to order dessert but they look lovely. All portions are so generous that we usually take another meal home with us. Reservations are recommended. They are closed Monday and Tuesdays, I believe. Vineyards are lovely no matter what season and there are multiple finch feeders hanging by the windows....always fun to watch the birds. There is a beautiful stone fireplace in the "original" part of the restaurant, which now boasts an additional much larger dining area overlooking vineyards as well as a large new wine tasting room complete with the big wine barrels!! Such a treat each time we go!! Worth the drive and watch for the small signs if you have never driven there. Can be a bit tricky to find the first time you visit but pretty sure you will find it worth returning to.

“Wonderful Wine Tasting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012 via mobile

Went on a Wine Tour fora birthday party to celebrate and stopped at Tabor Hill last. The price was very fair for a sampling of 6 wines, each introduced personally and offered with pairing suggestions. The reception area maintains a busy, but not crowded tasting area while offering an excellent selection of high quality chocolates from Norman Love. An absolute compliment to the wine tasting. Try the classic Demi-sec or house Spumante.

“The chef has something special to offer.”

I love this place. A menu with good variety. The salads, the soups, the oysters are all good. Our server, Madge, was just terrific. The dry reisling is super.
