Ciao Amici's has been my favorite restaurant in Brighton over the past few years. We went there for a quick dinner, and again left satsifed.
We decided to go to Ciao Amici's after realizing we didn't want to cook at home, and having a Groupon in hand. We definitely are not necessarily "cheap" when it comes to dining out, but we wanted to see how far we could stretch our $25 groupon. We managed that very well, and had a great meal to boot.
We split a "kids" pepperoni pizza for the two kids, ordered a pizza for ourselves to split (I forget the menu name, but it had sausage, ground beef, and onion), a brushcetta appetizer, and of course the "house bread". Sticking to water (one of our kids had chcolate milk, and the other water as well), we were able to keep the bill to $27. Adding tip, and using the groupon, you can't complain about that total for the evening!
The bread as always was excellent, served with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Our second basked was fresh out oof the oven, and of course, the hot bread was excellent. Both pizzas were very good; the sausage on ours was superb...it was tempting to eat off the grilled slices right off the pizza. This is definitely a "gourmet-style" pizza and can't be compared to NY-style pizza, but it was very good nonetheless.
My only complaint would probably be the bruschetta; the balsamic vinegar on the bread was heavy and almost overpowering; I found it very unusual to have a bruschetta this way. However, my wife liked it very much, so I guess it's just personal taste.
I've always liked the atmosphere of this restaurant; one could easily forget they are in a realtively small town while dining here. Fortunately, that atmosphere hasn't changed over the years. We've also always had very good service here, and this time was no exception with Michelle as our server.
Overall, another excellent meal at Ciao Amici's.
