“Fresh...Simple...Delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

The menu is chocked full of fresh, healthy choices for any palate. Salad was huge with only fresh ingredients and tasty homemade dressing. Would recommend this to anyone.

“Healthy Heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2014

If you haven't tried this restaurant, go there right now! I read a review about this place on TripAdvisor in which someone rated it 5 stars. I was leery because the Salad Shop didn't look like much from the parking lot and it used to be a sub shop. This is a situation where "Don't judge a book by it's cover" applies. I ordered salads & soups and they were delicious & healthy. They have fresh homemade dressings and you order up just about anything you like. Fantastic experience!!

“Great healthy alternative!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

There aren't a ton of healthy options in Brighton so finding this place was very refreshing. Their salads are very good and VERY big. I'm over 6 feet and over 200 pounds and their small salad fills me up easily. If one of their featured salads won't do almost everything on the menu can be customized. There are almost limitless possibilities on what you can create. There are only two gripes I have. One is that everything is chopped up to about the same size. This has a tendency to make everything have a similar texture almost like it's partially chewed up...ick. Secondly one of the ladies that works there (the owner I assume) has a bad attitude. She's mouthy to the staff and doesn't seem to care that she's that way in front of customers. So the experience can be hit and miss depending on her mood.

“Great salads!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

What a great place to get a salad, especially when having a "salad crave". But, fair warning, don't expect a small, "dainty" salad that will leave you hungry a half hour after you leave......

The selection of different salads is fantastic. Although at first the menu seems small, once you explore the variety of salads and different options that are avaialble, there are literally dozens of different options....not to mention the "build your own salad" option! From greek, to tex-mex, to mediterranean, to "chef-style", to others, with a vareity of different meats, and the options of having the salads as wraps......many, many choices!

My favorite aspect of the salads is the fact that everything, including the lettuce, is chopped up realtively finely, making a fork the only utensil needed to eating the salad. This is a great approach, and to me makes eating the salad much more enjoyable.

Oh, yeah...and the dressings. I think all of them are home-made (there may be one or two that aren't).....but all are excellent!! And, with the option of being able to use 4 or 5 different ones in a sitting, fortunately you don't have to choose.

We've been here a couple of times, and will come back as one of our lunch mainstays in Brighton. This is a great place, and hopefully it has some staying power in a very crowded Brighton restaurant scene..........

“SIMPLY AMAZING”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

Simply Amazing! The Salads are huge so you have to take about half of the size small or what I call a mountain home. They pile on the toppings and the salad is chopped into to perfect bites. They're dressings are homemade and I would suggest the honey greek any day, so delicious! They have soups as well as stir frys and wraps called salaps. Each salad comes with a warm pita. The staff is amazing. Just an overall great atmosphere. I hope this place succeeds here! Tell your friends :)
