“hospitality?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

there never seems to be a warm welcome or appreciation for guests business. there is so much competition in the area one would think that some smiles and a more pleasant aproach would be standard service.

“don't ever judge a book by it's cover ..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

Had 2nd thoughts of even trying the place based on it's "street appeal" .. but I was pleasently surprised once I got inside. Very casual old school type of place with "iffy service" (semi-good, but rather slow). And their beer/ale selection is almost non-ending. Their burgers are just about the best I've had recently (they'll make you ignore any/all chain burgers in the future) and the best part is everything is pretty reasonably priced !! Wow, I'm going back there very soon ..

“A dying breed.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Places like this are giving way to the chain restaurants. This is a "70's" style bar. They wrote the book on sports bars. This isn't a place to go for "Buffalo" or salad, but they have great, never frozen, hand made burgers. The meat is from Marv's in Brighton and they have been serving them, cooked on the bar grill, for as long as I can remember. It used to be a smoke filled saloon with people bellied up to the long curving bar. Now that it is smoke free, it is more open to people who wouldn't go to a place like this before the laws changed. It still has plenty of character (think of Cheers) with lots of TV's. One day we will wake up and find the only option for a good "bar burger and a beer" is Red Robin. Try this classic before it is gone.

“Just ok”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

Servers tend to give good service to regulars only... No healthy options other than salad. Tried them again after several years... Nothing has changed.

“Good burgers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

Good burgers, decent beer selection, and awesome "bar" atmosphere.....nothing pretentious about this place! Champ's is always a brighton favorite. Owner Dave Beauchamp always goes all out with personal service.....even on Friday evenings!
