Recently I went to Boyne Mountain with my two nephews, age 8 and 9 years. We had a 1 bedroom unit at Boyne Mountain Run that was barely big enough for 1 adult and two young children. The bed in the bedroom is a Queen, since I believe that a King wouldn't fit. With the sleeper sofa pulled out for the boys, you couldn't navigate around the living room or kitchen. I have not seen the 2 bedroom units, but I hope they are bigger! We were not able to use the large pool or hot tub at the Mountain Lodge, and the Mountain Run pool is outdoors and closed. There was an indoor hot tub open at Mountain Run, but it was no where near as nice as Mountain Lodge indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub. We were told that we could use another pool area, but I was told that it was "run down" and not worth the travel. I believe that if you pay to stay at a resort, you should not be told that there are areas that are off limits to you, and you should not be made to use facilities that are lesser quality than than what other guests can use. The water park was nice, the boys loved it. The children's activities were also fun for them. However, Mountain Run's small units and poor policy decisions has lead to my less than perfect review.
