My wife and I stopped in this small bar restaurant based on a recommendation from a local resident we met in town. It has the look of a typical northern Michigan bar from the outside. Inside, we found a busy bar, with several open tables for dining, as well as a nice deck which overlooks the Boyne River. We sat on the deck and it was enjoyable.
The restaurant was clean, the waitress was prompt and pleasant. The menu was simple, and the food was good. I ordered the ribs --- their specialty --- and they were terrific. I have tried BBQ ribs in all the famous "rib-cities" (Memphis, St. Louis, Kansas City, Dallas, Raleigh, etc.) and these were as good as any of those. And at a very reasonable price --- about $12 for dinner.
