We tried Edie's Log Bar in Baldwin on Father's Day based on their sign outside promoting breakfast and the "up north" look from the outside. We had a delicious home-cooked breakfast of pancakes, sausage, egg sandwiches, and cinnamon French toast. The prices are reasonable--our bill was $16 for three people. What made this unexpected stop special for us was our waitress. She, along with her father, owns the bar, and simply put, is passionate about making it a success. They don't serve alcohol at this time, although they are working on that. Bars like this are special because they remain mostly untouched from their early days, which for some adds to the charm, and for others seems unpleasant. We liked the charm and will go back on a return trip through Baldwin.
