“Sunset on the east coast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

Except when the green head flies torment everyone, this is a "must see" for those who love marshes. Different every day. (Flies are there from mid-July to mid-August.) Walk out on the boardwalk and see the sun set. An osprey nest also provides some entertainment in the summer.

“A pretty little beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

We went back a couple of times at different times of the day to look at the view. Try to time your visit for sunset!.The pier out into the water is something you don't see very often. And there is no fee for parking

“A must see in Yarmouth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

One of the best views of sunset on Cape Cod. Nice stroll down a long boardwalk where you can stand or sit and watch the sunset. If you don't want to stroll the boardwalk, there are benches at start of boardwalk where you can sit and get a good view. I highly suggest you spray your head and arms with bug spray before getting out of your car to view sunset at Gray's Beach. Beginning mid-July, there are lots of tiny little gnats that will give you a good pinch and make you run back to your car (we call 'em the no see-'ems). Not a problem if you come prepared with bug spray. Don't leave the minute the sun goes below the horizon. The best is yet to come: the light show in sky and water goes on for at least another half hour. Photographers frequent this spot to capture beautiful sunsets. This is not a good beach to swim or sunbath or spend the day. This is a beach for strolling and viewing. If you can not get there for sunset, go during the day; it's still worth the visit to stroll the boardwalk, see the marsh and view the vista of sky and water.

“Ouch - lots of biting bugs”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

Definitely a beautiful view and the water is great for kids to play in. But don't go too late in the evening. Too many biting bugs

“Breathtaking View!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

We walked the boardwalk after dinner. The dark green of the marsh meeting the blue and pink sky are the perfect ending of your day. There were benches at the beginning to sit. The beach is small but the sand is smooth. We spoke to a man who had caught 2 large striped bass, maybe a new site to fish. Just a beautiful sight.
