“Smell it a half-mile away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2014 via mobile

Discovered this place a few years ago when, as we were driving by, the smokey odor drew us in. We stop whenever we're visiting relatives in the area. Latest trip I had a pulled pork sandwich--a big helping of lean, smoky, tasty pork with cole slaw on a decent bun. Several good, seemingly homemade BBQ sauces available (the North Carolina mustard sauce is excellent). Sides are good, too. We had French fries and collards with our sandwiches-- a good deal for $7.95. Fries fine, collards great, with bacon. Worth a detour.

“Excellent BBQ!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2013

The chili is possibly the best I've ever had. I also ordered the brisket sandwich and that was great too. I look forward to going back.

“Don't go here...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

...because then I'll have to share and wait in a longer line. Its so close to the outlets but you'd never know it...we only found it because of a small sign stuck in the ground when we got off 495. Service and value are off the charts (we met the owner while we were eating). These guys could charge significantly more and would still be busy. We split a two meat, two side platter (with cornbread) for $15 and change and it was plenty of food for lunch. The brisket was tender and juicy, and the pulled pork was incredible. They make their own sauces as well and I can't say enough about the mustard sauce and pulled pork. Delicious.

“Worth a stop.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

Delicious BBQ with choices of sandwiches, apps, and BBQ plates. They have outdoor seating and delivery as well. The cowboy beans are very good, but the coleslaw is nothing special.
