“Comfortable, but lacking in amenities”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

The rooms were very comfortable. The fitness room was a joke. No equipment. Not a good range of free weights. NO work out bench. It smelled terrible, though was not used. The breakfast was understaffed as there was a wedding and no one thought to make arrangements to accommodate the crowd. Ran out of coffee in the lobby and no one had time to replenish it!

Thank you for sharing your experience at the Hilton Garden Inn Worcester with ourstaff. I personally want to thank you for your business and apologize for your unpleasant experience with the Gym and the understaffed restaurant. I can understand how disappointed you must have been. This is not how we do business and treat our guests. Therefore, I would like to invite you back to the hotel for one complimentary room night based on availability the next time you are traveling in the Worcester area, so you can experience the service you have come to expect and desrve. The very important factor that is good about this hotel is that they have friendly staff. Most of them will acknowledge you when you meet them anywhere in the hotel. The downside of the hotel is that the pool was too cold. I was expecting it to be warmer. It was suppose to be 80 degree water. But it is obviously not.

Around the area, the museums are closed on Mondays. So make sure to check out the schedules of the attractions before you book your hotel.

The rooms are comfortable. We were on the top floor. Early in the morning, we can hear a train or something passing by. We couldn't find the train track though.

Breakfast was good. It comes complementary with your Hilton rewards.

Parking is across the street. My husband did not mind picking up the car while we wait in the
lobby. It is summer and the weather is nice anyway.

Thank you for sharing your experience at the Hilton Garden Inn with our staff. I personally want to thank you for your business and apologize for the cold temperature of the pool. I can understand how frustrating it must have been to swim in cold water. Our engineering department made note of your comment and are checking the temperature 4 times a day to be sure it is comfortable for our guests.

I stayed here for seven nights (7/26 - 8/2) while I was umpiring a softball tournament in Worcester. This was the property that the tournament used to house umpires, as well as many of the softball teams. The property was able to handle everyone quite well. Check in went well considering team coaches were checking in their entire teams (15 rooms at a shot) in one shot. The desk staff handled everything professionally, and was courteous to everyone. The room was nicely sized (I had a king room) and clean. There was plenty of hot water (you could easily scald yourself if you so desired) and had great water pressure. Each day the housekeeping staff came through and kept everything neat and clean. My room had a microwave and fridge, and they both worked well. Should I ever be back in the Worcester area I will stay in this hotel again.

Parking is 10 dollars a night (this was comped for our tournament) because you have to park in the city garage across the street. While the cost is high, you have unlimited in and out and you don't have to leave your car in a surface lot in what can be a sketchy neighborhood. There is an UNO restaurant attached to the hotel, but they have the menu prices marked way up (compared to my local UNO) so we stayed away from there. They do offer room service from the restaurant, as well.

The swimming pool area and hot tub spa both were in operation, were clean, and easily accessible for us during our stay. And lastly they offer a hot breakfast each day for $12.95. We had it one morning and it was alright. A bit pricey, but if you are in a hurry and don't want to head to one of the local diners it is a viable option.

This hotel is very nice inside - outside the area it is in is sketchy... The staff is friendly and helpful. It is very clean. The parking garage is across a 4 lane road and not very convenient. There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel. The only problem I had was both of the days I was there the hotel ran out of clean towels... how does this happen. I had to wait hours to get them - which could have been problematic had I had deadlines, etc.

Stayed with my wife for 3 nights Checked in July 19, 2013, check in experience was excellent with Janet at the front desk, we initially booked 1 night but ended up staying for 3 nights. Kim at the front desk was also very attentive and informative about the area. I would recommend staying here for mini getaways or business trips

convenient location, easy on/off proximity to major highway. excellent value, rooms clean & efficient, free internet. UNO Restaurant connected to the hotel makes family dining convenient with reasonable prices and a good menu. downside: $9.95 per day parking fee.

Thank you for sharing your recent experience at the Hilton Garden Inn Worcester with our staff. I personally want to invite you back and thank you for your business. You noted the $9.95 parking fee which we charge to our guest which is exactly what we pay to the parking garage. The $9.95 fee is a discount to the normal overnight charge of $35. Unfortunately, the City owned garage is the only parking available to our guest and employees.
