“A great restaurant for many varied foods and beers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014 via mobile

Oconnors has always delivered above average meals prepared differently than you would have anywhere else. The menu is different while still having a host of offerings that anyone could like. I have eaten there many, many times and always left saying "that was really good". I highly recommend it.

“The most important thing to do - go to O'Connors”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

The most important things to do in the world are to get something to eat, something to drink and somebody to love you.
Brendan Behan

The first two are covered at O'Connors! And there are so many wonderful people who frequent the restaurant, you're bound to find the third.

Food at O'Connors is superb. No matter your choice, you'll never be disappointed. Over the years, we've tried everything from Shepherds Pie, to Bangers n Mash to Beef/Mush/Guiness Pie to the fish. Absolutely sumptuous. Not one disappointing meal. During winter months it's a very cozy place and you'll feel like you're home.

Often crowded. Though they do not take reservations for small parties, call ahead and tell them what time you'll be arriving. When you get, notify the Maitre d that you're there - you'll get seated quickly.

“sort of plateaued over the years”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

I used to frequent O'Connor's years ago and the food and service was amazing.... but lately both have been lacking. One visit I ordered a pot pie with lamb in it and literally only had one piece of lamb in it. The next visit there was multiple hairs inside my Beef and Guinness Pie - ick.

My biggest pet peeve is that the Shepherd's Pie is made with beef which is incorrect. This dish should be labeled Cottage Pie. A Shepherd herds sheep not cattle.

“Consistently awesome and cozy”

Great food, great atmosphere, great hosts. Love the ceasar salad, blakened salmon, baked schod, and fabulous assortment of local brews.

“St. Patrick's Day experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2014

My wife and I visited O'Connor's on St. Patrick's Day. It was quite an experience. The place was packed and we started our visit with a couple of drinks at the bar. The service was good, especially considering the crowd that had assembled. A live band, the Sons of Blarney, added to the festive atmosphere.

We were seated in about 30 minutes, not bad considering the crowd. My wife had the butternut bisque, which was creamy and delicious. We shared the crab cake appetizer, which was out of this world. Not too fishy and the relish served with the crab was a great compliment.

I ordered the corned beef and cabbage dinner. The corned beef was cooked nicely and was very flavorful. The vegetables were okay, but what can one expect from boiled cabbage, potatoes and carrots. The pearl onions were a nice touch and provided a nice pairing with the beef. The only downside of the meal is that my wife ordered the chicken pot pie but instead was brought the Sheppard's Pie. We brought this to the servers attention and she quickly provided a pot pie to go, as my wife could eat no more after the appetizer and rolls.

After dinner we headed back to the bar to listen to the live music and chat with our fellow revelers. It was a great St. Patrick's Day experience.
