“Another Off Night?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

Chose this restaurant because of its high rating on Trip Adviser but should have paid more attention to the negative reviews. Arrived about 6:45 Saturday night and were told the wait for a table would be a half hour and that the grill was "broken" so there would be no steaks or burgers but that there was plenty of prime rib, seafood and pastas. So we elected to stay but noticed that a number of other people were turned off when informed about the grill problem. We sat at a bar table hoping to have a drink while waiting. After 25 minutes with no acknowledgement of our presence we inquired as to how we could get a server to take our drink order and were informed that there was no service at the bar tables and we would have to place our order with the bartender. The bartender was very busy and eventually we were able to place a drink order (it was then about 7:30). Shortly thereafter our table became available so we moved ourselves with drinks in hand to the dining room. Without going into a lot of detail as to how we were frequently ignored by servers throughout the evening (we even had to chase our server down to get our dinner tabs), the fact that they had run out of prime rib and the slowness of getting our food, we were sorely disappointed with everything except the quality of the stuffed prawn special dinner and chicken cacciatore dinner, both of which were excellent. Two of our party had chef's salads which were lightly loaded with meat and cheese (contained in a wrap and sliced), overloaded with kalamata olives (more than 20 per salad) and the romaine was bitter--a real disappointing offering for a chef's salad. Our ordeal at this restaurant took over 3 hours from start to finish and it is with reservations that we rate this establishment as average.

“Golf Outing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Our group was looking for a place for lunch after our golf outing at Waubeeka, I have previously been there for dinner and I knew the Saturday prime rib was excellent. There was 12 of us and we were immediately seated in the rustic dining area. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere. The lunch menu is quite comprehensive with selections from steaks, large salads, various sandwiches, and tasty burgers. Most of our group ordered burgers. Kyra, our servet, was very efficient taking our drink orders after explaining the multiple beers on tap - lots of BBC selections. She also handled our food orders well Nd complied with our request for separate checks. Everyone in the group had a good time with the friendly staff and most commented they would return

“Delicious Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

The 6’s House Pub offers a very good menu with something for everyone. We were very satisfied with the quality of the food and found the atmosphere very relaxing. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. This was very convenient as we were staying at the 1896 House. The bar area was also very pleasant and relaxing. Did not have the average bar noise and there were several televisions with different shows for viewing. I absolutely will visit the 6’s House Pub again and would highly recommend this restaurant.

“Enjoyed It”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Had dinner here with my wife and daughter. We went on Friday night and had no trouble getting a table.

I had a martini to start, good but could have been a little colder.

We shared some mussels to start. Very good, nice and spicy.

My daughter had tilapia, I forget how it was prepared, she liked it.

My wife had Mac and cheese with steak medallions, she liked it.

I had Black Raspberry chicken. It sounded different, it was different, I liked it.

Shared chocolate lava cake with ice cream for dessert. We liked it

Little over $100. with tip. We will be back.

“Excellent restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

Four of us went to this restaurant to celebrate our friend's birthday, and we were very pleased with the atmosphere of the restaurant, the food and Alison, our server. We will definitely return during subsequent visits to the Berkshires. This was the best dinner we had during our entire week in that area.
