“Clean, large rooms; sub-par breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012 via mobile

Rooms are away from the street, shielding them from the noise. The motel grounds are well maintained; pool is well kept as well. Room size is more than adequate; a level of non-darkening curtains in addition to the existing ones would give a chance for some privacy while not making the room dark...
As noted by others here, breakfast is quite pathetic; but the overall value you get is reasonable.

Regarding rooms and surrounding I can confirm the aforesaid - a nice and well-maintained site. Unfortunatelly it wasn't enough value for the money. The announced "continental breakfast" consisted of just cake, coffee and juice. Everybody who ever was in Sweden knows that that hasn't anything to do with Swedish hospitality or breakfast - not that I expected a Swedish breakfast, but as some writers wrote about Swedish hospitality at Maple Terrace (maybe they did not mean the breakfast). Anyway also with regard to US-breakfast standards and for that price I would have expected a reasonable real continental breakfast. For being honest we felt like a bit betrayed and I wonder why not so many writers really criticize that point. The owners should better be honest regarding their breakfast. Everything else was ok.

We've stayed at the Maple Terrace with a group of friends for our annual Berkshire trip for many years. The proprietors and their help are always friendly and accommodating. The rooms are large, quiet, and very clean. The grounds are lovely with beautiful perennial plantings and seating in the garden. The pool, tucked behind the motel, has a lovely view of grazing horses and the mountains beyond. The delicious blueberry cake in the morning is an added bonus.

An excellent place: quiet, clean, very comfortable, lovely gardens, friendly and helpful proprietor, yummy blueberry cake for breakfast...which we ate in the garden. The price is very competitive! What's not to like?

This is such a wonderful place right on route 2. You can only see the front of the motel from the street, but when you pull in it's like a private sanctuary with lots of trees, flowers and rooms. The people are very nice - a politeness that I found quite welcome coming from Boston. The rooms were very clean, with a comfortable bed, coffee maker and little Swedish rolls that my wife loved (she is Swedish). Next time we are in the Berkshires, this is where we will be!

We enjoyed our one night stay very much. The room was very clean, the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. The grounds are very attractive with perennial planting, a nice pool and picnic area. Don't miss the coffee and blueberry cake in the morning.
