“Loved the deck overseeing the cove in the morning”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013 via mobile

Rooms were clean just wished we had a microwave in it - they did have one downstairs in the hallway but it would have been better in the room. You get what you pay for which the most important thing to our group of 5 couples was a clean room.... Would stay there again. The hot tub by the pool needed to be cleaned out so we didn't go in it but the pool was good. The breakfast restaurant there is a great place to start your day-good food and great prices.

Thank you for your review and for choosing the Tidewater for your group. While we don't have micowaves in all rooms, they are available for $5 per night should a guest need one in their room. We are also adding a microwave in the second floor lobby area. We empy and clean the hot tub at least twice per week and more if needed. Sometimes, it gets dirty in the evening when it gets more use and we would clean it the following morning.
Hope to see you and your group again. Looks like you had lots of fun exploring the Cape.

We stayed at the Tidewater Inn for two nights as part of a promotional opportunity. The owners, Mike and Voula Nikolakopoulos, wonderful people, run a well managed and cared for property. The pool is good sized and clean and the grounds are spotless. The rooms are large and adequately equipped. The location is close to Hyannis and is on Route 28, easy to get to. I'm not sure about normal prices but since this was a promotion, we had a very good deal. With reasonable prices my wife and I would certainly return.

Hi Dan, It was pleasure meeting you and getting to know you. Mike and I both enjoyed our discussion and look forward to continuing on future visits. The best part of running the Tidewater is getting to know guests such as yourself. We appreciated the feedback on how to improve the rooms. We're on the same page because we have a punch list similiar to yours (and much more) and, with time, we hope to perfect the guest experience. With the exception of July and August, we do have manager's specials so don't hesitate to call us whenever you plan to visit the Cape.

Took advantage of a AAA member deal that provided me a discounted room rate for the night, It was a gift to my wife for valentine's day. The customer service I received was very good, the rooms had been updated recently (new paint and carpet). The rennovations looked to be sloppy in nature, the furtniture looked to be fairly new and in good condition. I was only there two nights and am on the fence as to whether I would pay their regular rates. I would definantly go back if I were to find another AAA member deal and could get a discounted room rate. Thank-you for the customer service provided and running a deal on your room rates.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are constantly working on renovating and will certainly address the details. Glad you were able to experience the Cape with this special promotion, but we do have manager specials throughout the year that are affordable. Feel free to give us a call when you want to return to the Cape and we will try to give you the best rate available.

...actually, this is about the 4th time we have stayed at the Tidewater...unless it's the 3rd...or the 5th...I'm not sure...Barbie was right...math is hard...anyway, we went down in February and stayed 4 nights...we always stay way in back on the 2nd floor...Deb likes to take pictures of stuff from the balcony...except girls in bikinis...sigh...and Voula wants me as far away as possible...but I digress...the place is always clean and quiet...and we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves...although girls in bikinis are always welcome...if you plan to eat while you are there, Helen's 1950's Diner is located smack dab in the middle of the place...and you get a 50% discount on your meal by showing them some kind of card you get...but it wasn't my Avengers membership card, so don't try that...and you are centrally located on Route 28 if you want to visit the surrounding area...Voula is always recommending places for me to go...she is very helpful like that...this year we went to the nearby mall and spent some money...then we went to Hyannis and spent some more money...then we went to Provincetown and spent even more money...and we stopped in every town in between and asked if we could spend money there...the people were all very kind to us...I imagine they would treat all visitors like that...good thing it doesn't cost a fortune to stay at the Tidewater...you should check it out...tell Voula I sent you...and we'll be back next year...she will be so happy...

Room Tip: ...we always ask for one with a bed and a toilet...we are not too fussy...

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

We stayed at the Tidewater Inn on March 9-12, 2013 and just returned home. The facilities were immaculate and the room seemed to be recently renovated. It had a large king size bed with a waterview and balcony and is on the second floor. There was a brand new bathroom and sink with granite top, cable TV and free WiFi. The bed had brand new soft white comfortor so is much better than pictured on website. We enjoyed the seating area for a quick breakfast in the room. We used the hot tub/jacuzzi that was in the pool area and it was one of the best with strong jets that hit you in all areas of your body..........warm and wonderfuol. The pool was large and had stairs for the 3 ft area and moved up to 9 feet. Safe for the kids as there is a rope separtating the 3 foot area from the rest of the pool. I love to swim but like my water on the warmer side and this was perfect. As far as location, it was set in West Yarmouth which is a quick ride to Chatham lighthouse and not a bad ride to Provincetown. We went all over cape cod with our bikes and found many bike paths there. I highly recommend this motel as it is priced well, the staff was great and the room very inviting. It also offers free tea or coffee in the lobby which was nice. We were not able to go to Helen's Diner that is right on site as it is only open on the weekend, but it had great breakfast/lunch prices listed and the atmosphere looked great. We also suggest that you go to O'Sheas which is near by for dinner with music on a Sunday and Wednesday. We had breakfast at the Keltic Kitchen which provided an amazing assortment of breakfast dishes at a reasonable price, with some exotic choices and big quantities. We will go back!

Room Tip: for couples room 090 since it has a waterview.......also rooms 86/88/92 etc. Nice picnic table and c...

We're so glad you enjoyed your visit to the Tidewater. My favorite rooms are also the waterview rooms. While they do cost a little more, they are most recently renovated and offer a beautiful and peaceful view of Mill Pond. If you're an early riser, you can also see some amazing sunsets. Thanks for the review and we hope to see you at the Tidewater again when you're visiting the Cape.

Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Motel was clean as a whistle, including rooms and common areas. Beds were comfy. Room was quiet. Very convenient location. We would definitely visit again!
