“Nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

We have just returned from a week long trip and spent seven nights at the Cove of Yarmouth. It is a clean place, updated, very comfortable beds, even the pull out sofa bed wasn't bad, the showers were great, we were there in April over spring break and there were tons of families there but we found it was plenty quiet at a reasonable time of night to sleep well, the heat and cool system works well, the kitchenette was perfect for making microwave meals, they do not allow cooking, the massage was wonderful, the pool was pretty clean for how busy it was and the kids had a blast! I used the gym everyday, the service overall was top notch, very helpful staff, I was generally very impressed. We really enjoyed using the bbq grills available. Bed sheets were so nice and soft. Very relaxing place. I would give them five stars except the location wasn't perfect, it is on a busy street that is not really close to a beach, relatively speeking. It is probably not a great location if you like walking to places. We had one of the rooms downstairs without the stairs to the upper bedroom and we had a door between the two rooms. It was perfectly comfortable. Not snobby and not super upscale but just a nice place to relax and enjoy yourself. We paid $88.00 per night in mid April, we thought that was a very good deal.

Room Tip: Ask for a downstairs room without the stairs to get to the upstairs bedroom.

We have timeshares, and we make it a point to book the Cove at least once a year. The rooms are clean and up to date. Plenty of room and comfortable beds. The restaurant upstairs is fantastic. The food was great and the prices very reasonable. Plenty to do in the area. The staff is just wonderful. The Cove is a don't miss!

We liked and enjoyed our week stay at cove. The place is renewed recently and they were clean & neat. Only drawback is climbing stairs to room. The indoor pool, Hot tub, sauna & stem room were maintained properly.
The front desk staffs were friendly and housekeeping was efferent.
The place is about 100KMs from Province Town and we went foe Whale watch. We were able to see Humpback Whale and Shark fin whale.
We had breakfast at Kinetic Kitchen and it was a really big portions & Good. We dined at Caption Park and Yarmouth House. We liked the food at Yarmouth House.
Nice place to visit again.

Room Tip: We stayed at the Town house facing waterfront

We stayed here in April, during the off season. It was part of an RCI points deal that I swear is more like some kind of magic formula than anything that makes sense to me.

We arrived at 4pm, their check-in time. It was fast and painless. The woman at the desk was helpful and efficient. They did charge a $50 fee since our stay was less than the 1 week RCI wants you to take. We knew this in advance - I don't like it but it's more of the hocus pocus reasons I just don't believe in timeshares...

Anyway we got in the room. It was a suite, a 2 room unit. Very nicely decorated (Cape Cod themes, of course!) and very clean. There was a bedroom area, with its own bathroom and a kitchen/den area with its own bathroom as well.

We pleasantly found they DO HAVE FREE WI-FI in the rooms! Despite what I had read in other reviews there are 2 options available - a low speed and pay-per-use high speed options. This was a great surprise.

Now here was where the snag was - my wife and I are big hockey fans. We wanted to watch some NHL Center Ice games on the 40"ish tv in the room. I brought her laptop and an HDMI cable. However, the additional inputs on the wall mounted TV were disabled. You couldn't select the HDMI options! You really needed the original remote since the generic Comcast one would not let you change any TV options.

On our way out to dinner I stopped by the front desk and explained the issue. The gentleman there understood my issue and said he would contact maintenance about the issue. I told him if he just left the remote I could fix it.

We came back from dinner (nice Italian place, DiParma?, from next door) maybe an hour later. Sure enough, the TV inputs were unlocked and the original remote was sitting there for us. I was extremely happy we got this issue resolved since it seemed like such a strange request.

The rest of our time here was uneventful but good. The bed was a bit tough and had severe body impressions - I sold bedding for 4 years and this bed was past it's prime - but it was serviceable enough that my wife didn't have a problem and I only slightly had any pains waking up.

On a side note - my wife is a Masters level swimmer and was looking forward to the 'Olympic sized' pool that was advertised. Well, to her disappointment it is certainly not Olympic sized. However she was happy that every day they had lane swimming in the morning.

This location of The Cove is a great place to be on the cape. Hyannis is only minutes away and so is Dennis and other great Cape destinations. I would recommend The Cove to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in this area.

It was located near water, so always a plus point.
Good service, descent rooms ( the queen bed was small and didn't enjoy the sleeper sofa, so removed the cushion from the sleeper sofa and slept on the floor).
The pool was nice.

Room Tip: If you are couple with 2 kids, donot go with two rooms with a queen bed and a sleeper sofa.

If you are looking for a gem among the many resorts / hotels of Cape Cod The Cove is clearly the place to stay. With it's many rooms, and lots of parking it is a perfect place for a family to escape year round. Be warned it is a family destination, and the sounds / noises you hear will reflect that. The resort has many activities daily, it offers indoor tennis courts, a game room, and indoor basketball courts. My kids love the indoor pool, it provides a wonderful escape regardless of the time of year, or the weather outside. The outdoor pool to me seems like a silly option since you are only a mile, or so, from some wonderful beaches. The outside pool can get very crowded which is too busy for me to relax, but many people seem to enjoy it. We personally enjoy the many local beaches, over the outdoor pool. The hotel is only a few miles from Hyannis, which has some great shops, fantastic restaurants, several candy stores for the kids, and some wonderful beaches to explore. When we visit each year we always take a boat ride, a trip on the Cape Cod railroad, and a visit to the Cape Cod Potato Chip factory. Exploring the Cape in general is a wonderful vacation. A trip to Chatham is definitely a must do for anyone, the views are amazing, and the beach lovely. As a fun way to get into the mood for the Cape we always stop in Buzzard Bay for lunch / dinner on the way in, and on the way out. It adds a certain level of anticipation and sad goodbyes (but the food is wonderful and less expensive than on the Cape)..... The Lobster Pot is my kid's favorite, while mine is East Wind Lobster (if they have the fried lobster you have got to try it, with onion rings of course).

Room Tip: The hotel is large, if you stay in a higher # room (over 200) the walk to the indoor pool, lobby, an...

This was our first stay at the Cove . Everything was wonderful , from check in to check out !
The front desk staff is very efficient and friendly and was helpful with recommending a restaurant for lunch ( DiParma Italian Table ) .
Our townhouse was very nice , loved the furnishings . We enjoyed using the rec center and pool as well . We will certainly be staying at the Cove again when we return to the Cape .
