We stayed 3 nights at the Hampton Inn in West Springfield to attend a convention in Amherst, MA at the University. The hotel was full but the following showed the quality of the property.
1) Check in fast, efficient and friendly
2) Room clean, spacious, updated and quiet
3) Breakfast buffet (complimentary) well stocked, good variety, clean, and plenty of seating
4) Free parking, easy access
5) right next to the best wine super market in the area a must see!!
6) Extras: fridge & micro in each room + iron & hairdryer: While it is not listed on their site the breakfast buffet seemed to have a casserole dish in the evenings, complimentary, available to take back to the room or eat in the lobby area each night. Coffee/tea. fresh baked cookies on hand as well. In a pinch it works! A grocery store is right next door and be sure to check out the Table & Vine mega wine/liquor mart next door with tons of cheeses, snacks etc.
7) Last, but not least, free Wi-Fi worked in our room!!!
I've stayed in plenty of dumps on Riverdale and Hampton Inn is the best hotel you can get. For a few extra bucks don't bother with the filthy places across the street.............plus check the hotel guide for restaurants, some offer discounts if you present your room key.

Up to Hampton standards and very roomy. I had a king bed with refrig, microwave, coffee maker , small sofa . TV and clothes area.
Large breakfast room with nice choices. My only complaint was the water saving shower - a little more water please!

Nothing special about this Hampton. Located at a very busy interesection. I stayed here because it was close to Hartford Airport and I had a flight the next morning. I'll book the Hampton in Windsor, CT next time. Nothing terrible here, but nothing outstanding.

The best qualities of the Hampton Inn in West Springfield are its convenient location and beautiful rooms. I stayed here because I was attending a wedding in the area. The bride had it set up with the hotel manager that guests could check-in at 3 pm. When myeslf and two other couples arrived at 3:30 pm, our rooms were not ready. The front desk was willing to accomodate us by giving us the three rooms directly adjacent to the hotel lobby-we declined and said we would wait. We did have our rooms by 3:45, but the principle was lost: the bride wanted us to have a 3 pm check-in so that we could get to the reception by 3:30. This did not happen.

The rooms are small, but very well put together. Very comfortable king size bed. Beautiful bathroom with all the amentitites. The room even had a refigerator and microwave. The morning breakfast was well stocked, though it ended at 10 am, which seems early on a weekend. Check-out wentsmoothly.

I have to say that the biggest turn-off for the Hampton Inn West Springfield is the noise. The walls must be very thin: starting at 7 am, I would hear every door in my hallway open and close until I woke at 9 am. I was consistently woken up during this two hour period by the opening and closing of doors. After a long night at a wedding, sleeping solidly until a decent hour was the least I could ask for. Unfortunately, I did not get this at the Hampton Inn, West Springfield.
