“Can't wait to come back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2011

Already before we even arrived, we knew we were in good hands. Coming to Cape Code on a Friday evening in September for our 3 day stay, Simon made arrangements for us to have dinner in a close by restaurant. Once we came to the Pebble, he welcomed us with a nice glass of wine. After chatting for a bit, he told us that they upgraded us to a Luxury Superior Room in the adjunct building. The room was beautifully appointed, with a fireplace, a king bed (with very soft linens), a very large bathroom that featured a huge shower and a bath top that could fit three. While Annabel& Simon left us all the space we needed, they surprised us with wonderful attention to detail, including (Annabel's own) birthday candle, birthday crackers and a bottle of wine in our room. Add this to breakfast with home made scones on our private terrace in the morning, magically appearing towels while we took a swim in the pool and the beautiful setting and you will understand why we can't wait to get back to the Pebble soon! Many thanks Annabel and Simon for a special stay that we think back to often. A&E

My husband & I just spent a wonderful weekend celebrating our anniversary at this amazing inn. We have stayed at other B & B's on the cape, but this is the one we will be returning to in the future! We booked a Luxury Superior room (I believe it was "The Vineyard") and were totally blown away at how beautiful it was! (Not to mention - immaculate!!) The bed was heavenly with luxurious linens and the bathroom had an amazing shower and soaking tub!Annabelle and Simon were truly the perfect hosts who could not have been more welcoming - from booking dinner reservations to leaving a lovely bottle of wine in our room to celebrate our anniversary. We highly recommend the Platinum Pebble - cannot wait to reurn!!

We stayed at the Platinum Pebble for 5 nights of our honeymoon in October this year. The inn was as described - very "boutique-y" with simple, classy decor; HUGE very comfy beds and great showers.

Our hosts, Annabel & Simon made us very welcome - with several lovely gestures made in regards to our "honeymooning" status - we particularly appreciated the room upgrade. They provided everything we needed including maps with directions, restaurant recommendations and bookings, etc. Whilst the inn seems smallish at first with only 8 rooms; this allows the personal touch yet we were given plenty of space to enjoy our stay.

We arrived in Cape Cod on Columbus Day weekend (officially the end of the season), but the weather was fantastic; which meant we got the beach benefits of Summer without the crowding or parking payments! The town itself, Harwich, had clearly quietened down for the off-season but there were still a couple of nice restaurants open. The Platinum Pebble is a half mile up from the beach - which worked well for off season as the big hotels in beach area did feel a bit deserted. In season, I'd have thought the location would also be a benefit for a bit of peace and quiet (and the PP has parking arrangements with a local beach fronted hotel if needed).

My only slight quibble is that most restaurants / bars needed to be driven to - which meant one of us couldn't drink each night (other than when we ate very local); but I'm told this is a common US phenomenon.

All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend the Platinum Pebble to anyone - especially European / Brits who like a more simple and classy decor over the big chain hotels.

We were fortunate enough to spend 4 nights last week at the Pebble and are already wistful for a return stay. The immaculate and lovely Chatham room was an absolute haven, with elegant decor, soft bathrobes, even softer towels, Ghirardelli chocolates on the pillows, and as luxurious a bed as you will find anywhere on your travels. And we particularly enjoyed the scrumptious breakfasts that emerged from Annabelle's kitchen each morning. (Who knew you could have sherbert on your Belgian waffles?!) But most of all, we were delighted and charmed by Annabelle and Simon, who really are the perfect hosts -- from unexpectedly upgrading our room, to making dinner and whale watching reservations for us, to loaning out guidebooks and making great sightseeing and shopping suggestions, they made us feel warmly welcome and pampered from the moment we arrived to the moment we waved goodbye. This is certainly the benchmark by which we'll measure all other B&B stays, and we're sure you will, too!

We arrived at the Platinum Pebble at the end of a two week trip touring Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island and to our disappointment we could only stay for two nights. We could happily have stayed much longer. Annabelle and Simon made us so welcome from the moment we arrived when we were invited to join them and other guests for a glass of wine. They have lovingly renovated this B&B to a very high standard. We prefer modern, minimalist boutique hotels and we weren't disappointed. Our room was large, very clean with all the little touches that make such a difference including a coffee machine, fruit, dvd player and guide books. The bathroom was stunning and also decorated to a very high standard.
We enjoyed having breakfast served on the terrace outside our room especially as we could have this in the bathrobes suppied.
We plan to return and recommend the Platinum Pebble wholeheartedly.

We would have loved to have had you stay longer too. Thank you so much for submitting this wonderful review of our Inn, we're so pleased that you like the style and standard of how we're trying to run it. The little touches that you mentioned are the things that we hope will set apart from other Inns on The Cape and we're glad they didn't unnoticed by you. Thank you once again for taking the time to write a review.

This B&B has been beautiful rennovated and has a modern minialist feel. Simon and Annabelle are excellent hosts and welcome you into their home. If you like your boutique hotels you will love this. West Harwich is not a bad location and in the summer months you can easily get across to Nantucket.

We stayed at the Platinum Pebble for a few days following a recommendation from family and we're so pleased that we did! Our room was fabulous, soft sheets and fluffy towels, fireplace, flatscreen tv with DVD player, lots of guidebooks to give us plenty of ideas of where to go. It was also refreshing to find somewhere without all the chintz that so many of the guesthouses on the cape offer. Breakfast was served out on the balcony and was a great way to set us up for the day. Simon and Annabelle are also great hosts - giving us great recommendations and suggestions for things to do, and most importantly offering us a cold beer on arrival after a long drive! We'd definitely come back and recommend others to do so too.

We're really happy you had a brilliant time and over the moon that you were a recommendation from a family member . That means the word is spreading and seeing as this is our 1st season in business word of mouth is EVERYTHING to us, we're glad we lived up to expectations.
Thank you SO much for writing a lovely a review. We look forward to being able to welcome you back as return guests.
