We were welcomed by Alex at reception and shown to our "cottage" which had a beatiful outlook and was nicely furnished and clean. Alex also kindly directed us to a nearby restaurant for an evening meal., which was most helpful However, after that we felt quite isolated - the main source of lighting in the cottage did not work and we could not locate anyone to assist that evening so after dinner, spent the evening in very dark "cottage" lit only by two small lamps and a thoughtfully provided torch. The only other staff member we encountered was at the very mediocre breakfast the following morning - with no sign of the owners/managers. To give the management the benefit of the doubt, we were there at a very quiet time and the accommodation is probably more suited to groups of people attending weddings at the site or persons staying for more than one night. Not so ideal for travellers passing through for one night. Perhaps we should have done our research more carefully.
