Other than the location and a view I'm not sure what the big deal is with this restaurant. Other reviewers indicate the price is good for lunch...I tend to think it's on the high side. Went there in mid May which is off season so it wasn't obnoxiously busy, nice sunny day so the atmosphere was great.
Lunch was OK...not great. Wait person convinced me the codfish in the sandwich was fresh. So I took her word for it. Very small piece of cod but ample portion of fries which were excellent.
Go there for a relaxing atmosphere, if you're going with the intent of having a top shelf lunch you may want to lower your expectations.
Two people: One cup of chowder, 1 beer, 1 club soda, and two codfish sandwiches, total including tax, excluding tip was $44.10. Considering the codfish in the sandwich was on the small side this seems a little pricey to me. But then again it's the Vineyard.
BTW, looks like they're introducing outdoor seating. Would be better if somehow they could have arranged for it to be on the waterside with a water view.
