“Nice little addition to the Vineyard”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

Saw Woody Pines last week. Quirky, folk rock trio who we'd yet heard of, but wanted to see some live entertainment in the winter and this brand new film/art/entertainment theatre is a welcome venue especially to the Vineyard Haven section of the island.

“Hippest venue, great independent films”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Year round culture vultures jumped for joy when this theater opened! Imagine a state-of-the-art independent film center for our little community (not so little in July and August). It has aestheically pleasing interiors and by far the most comfortable cushy bouncy movie theater seats I've ever sat in (and our Vneyard color -- purple -- to boot). The screen and audio are superb. Film selection thoughtfully curated and a balance of documentaries, indies, classics, foreign, cult and even a few regular popular commercial movies. If you care deeply about your beverages and/or snacks, bring you own, the selection is limited. Love this place! I might even leave my house once in a while in the deep of winter for a change.

“Ambience, comfort quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

The MV Film Society's new film center has it all! Great concessions (yum!) and comfy seating. And the film selection and enthusiasm of staff can't be built.

“A welcome addition to the Vineyard cultural scene!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

The new Vineyard Film Center is a wonderful new and needed additional to the Vineyard cultural scene - great seating, projection, sound, all with the latest (and some classic) art films! Parking is tight so go early!

“THE Place To See Geat Movies”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

If youre looking for the most comfortable, modern arts movie house with great seating, superb video and audio and a wonderful selection of movies, this is it. And who better to run it than a nice gentleman called Richard Paradise. Truly a memorable place to go.
