My husband and I stayed at the Mansion House from 9/7 to 9/12. What a great place. The staff were very accomondating and friendly. I must have asked the front dest a thousand question about the Vineyard and everyone responded with a smile. I suggest splurging for a harbor view room. The rooms are very nice and the breakfast which is included hit the spot. It is also a great location to reach different spots on the island. We decided to rent a car and the staff suggested a rental place which gave us a discount because we were staying at the Mansion House. My husband and I enjoyed our time.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the 4th floor with a balcony facing the harbor...

We were there in August, 2012 to attend a wedding. Quick taxi ride from the airport. Walking distance from the ferry, great restaurants (Blue Canoe) and shopping. There is a movie theater close by also. Amazing workout facility on site with spa. Another great feature is the breakfast that is included. Not your typical continental- eggs, quiche, fruit and breakfast meat. Easily taxi anywhere on the island.

Room Tip: Pay extra for the water view room with balcony

We recently stayed at the Mansion House in Vineyard Haven 8/22-8/24/12. It was wonderul! If you are considering going, book it. The location from the ferry is a short walk. We left our car in Woods Hole and took the ferry across. The people at the hotel were so nice and helpful. The room is spotless and so pretty and relaxing. Breakfast is included which was delicious. The roof top deck was just the icing on the cake with the vies of the harbour. My husband surprized me with our two day stay for my 4oth birthday and it was such a great get away. I will definitely return!

Room Tip: Our room was 405 and it had a lovely private balcony.

We have just returned from our very first trip to the island and came back very impressed, due to large part our hotel. Very clean, convenient location, the staff very helpful, professional and friendly. The breakfasts were scrumptious. We also appreciated the provided beach towels and chairs. We didn't use the spa, but the pool with the hot tub were excellent. We can certainly recommend this hotel.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at The Mansion House in Vineyard Haven and came away very impressed. The inn is a short walk from the ferry terminal and bus stop in Vineyard Haven and is very conveniently located. Restaurants, shopping are all nearby. We arrived early and were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready and we checked right in at 11:30. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was nicer than we expected, spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Nice bathroom, refrigerator in the room...all very nice. There is a rooftop deck overlooking the harbor and town, with tables and chairs set up. The health club was probably one of the most complete facilities you will ever see in a hotel. Lots of cardio equipment, free weights, weight machines, lap pool, yoga classes, spinning. I was very impressed. Breakfast was included, which is a money and time saver. Eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, quiche etc. Overall we had a great visit and enjoyed our stay.

Vineyard Haven is a little off the beaten path in MV, but it was a perfect place to relax. The Hotel is clean, comfortable and has great amenities. The ferry drop off is a five minute walk and you can get to either Oak Bluffs or Edgartown with a 20 min bus ride. Breakfast is served every morning in the restaurant Zephrus next door, and the hotel staff and service are excellent. Would recommend for family or couples.

Room Tip: Get a King Size bed room - they are all much larger than the queens.

I just returned from a wonderful vacation with 2 friends I have traveled with for over 20 years. We love the Mansion house and have returned several years in a row. The staff is friendly and helpful, the location in Vineyard Haven is convenient to shops and restaurants, and the view of the Harbor from the roofdeck should not be missed! I especially enjoy the many aerobic and yoga classes offered on site as well as the spa and pool. The yoga class I took yesterday was the best I have ever taken...the perfect ending to 5 wonderful days on the Island!
