“Really amazing”

Very breathtaking, must go there. Highland Lighthouse is at the peak, and you can see the town from there.

“Highland Light inside and outside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

We went up the 69 stairs inside the lighthouse to the top to the Lantern room. The view was wonderful from up there, and the going up not really too difficult. The keeper told us all about the Fresnel lense and the lights that are used now. If you like lighthouses I would absolutely recomend this lighthouse. Its history is very interesting too.

“a quintessential Cape Cod place to visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

Our family really enjoyed visiting this lighthouse. Staying in South Yarmouth, we wanted to visit Provincetown, and the Highland / Cape Cod Lighthouse was right on the way. The view from the top of the lighthouse was cool, and the docent who was on hand was informative. Be aware of a few things: 1) Small children are not allowed; 2) the last couple flights of stairs are steep and narrow; and, 3) coming back down the steep sections at the top, turn around and come back down BACKWARDS, as if you were on a ladder ... much easier and safer.

“great views of Atlantic ocean”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

You can climb to the top of the lighthouse if you are over 51 inches tall. My grandkids loved it and there is a scenic overlook from which we saw spouting whales offshore. This is an historic spot but also a lot of fun for kids.

“Great views and great cause.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012 via mobile

Lighthouses are a very important part of Cape Cod history. The story of Highland Light is especially amazing. We went as a "rainy day" trip, and had a great time climbing the stairs and learning the history.
