“Adequate But Not Inspiring.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2009

Booked this hotel for $45 on Hotwire. It was worth $45, but not more. The room was adequate but dated. Bathroom florescent was flickering badly so I had to remove the lamp from the socket. Formica counters and old school lav bowl. Heat noisy so I turned it off. Location was good, right of the Interstate, and proximity to Cracker Barrel worked out for morning departure. Needs some serious updating, but did the job.

My thoughts are that you can never go wrong with the Holiday Inn. The ones that I have stayed in were clean and average and that was fine by me.
This Holiday Inn was really run down. We see the new commercial for HI, saying we are renovating all our hotels,,,Well they certainly havent gotten to this one!!
We had read a previous review of 6 months ago saying the hot tub's bubbles werent working, I know we should have called to see if this was fixed. The only reason we chose this one over the other hotels in the area, was because it had a pool and hot tub.
Guess what,,,6 months later, the bubbles STILL dont work in the hot tub. Only 2 of the 12 jets work. Its like sitting in your bathtub at home,,gheesh. We checked in Friday at noon time, figuring we could get a quick swim and hot tub in before the 5pm wedding we were
attending nearby. Well, the pool didnt open til 4pm on friday and not until 10A on saturday, Whats up with that???? We did manage to hop in on saturday before checkout.
Thats when we discovered the NON Bubbly hot tub. The pool area looked like it had been painted fairly recently ...By someones drunken uncle! There was paint all on the window frame,,did they not know they had to tape it? Or wipe it off???? The non functioning hot tub looked like it had been painted as well, since there was white paint from someones hands all over the silver bars that help you get out,,again...Why didnt they wipe it off????? They painted over peeling walls,,which,,helllooo,,,,will peel unless you spackle them first....ughhh...
The corridors were freezing. Obviously, the heat is shut off. The carpeting in the hallway had duct tape over the rips....
I asked where the business center was since I had to use a PC for a couple of minutes. That consisted of a desk in the lobby with a laptop that had keys missing? and no printer.
They did have a breakfast buffet. yuck. The scrambled eggs were gross.
No bagels or english muffins. Just bread. Not even worth the 10 bucks.
We were in the lobby when the groom of the wedding we were attending arrived with his groomsmen. His room was suppose to be ready by 2, It was almost 3 and they told him it still was dirty and wouldnt be ready for an hour or so....The photographer was already there waiting to take the pictures. He wasnt happy.
We got back to the room after the wedding, around 10pm,,,We wanted to watch the Red Sox on tv while we were getting ready for bed. The ballgame was only on in the lobby, the rooms didnt carry the station...Again,,Whats up with THAT?
Seems like customer service is lacking along with general upkeep,,,If I were Holiday Inn,
I would be embarrased by the condition of this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel with my family and we were in Tewksbury for a funeral. We wanted to stay at the Holiday Inn because we work at the holiday inn in the town where we live. There were two girls working one by the name of Nicole and the other was Lynda. They were so awfully rude to us. They treated us like we were inconviencing them by any question that we asked. When you work in a hotel you see many different kinds of people and you are supposed to be friendly if you can't do that then your in the wrong business. The way that they talked about guest when they werent around was just simply rude. I wouldn't recommend that anyone ever stay unless you want to get treated like crap!
