“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

A Fall day and a turkey meal at the Publick House Inn, what more could you ask for? Well it would have been enjoyable if the food was more than lukewarm. The turkey meat was tasty but the stuffing was a starchy lump, the french fries were not fully cooked and it all was just lukewarm at best.

“Just like I remember it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

We stopped in for lunch the other day. I had not been here for years but it was just like I remember it.
The food was good I just got the hamburger with blue cheese it came with fries some cole slaw and a pickle. Perfect for lunch and $10 wasn't bad at all. I will go back for diner some night and let you know.

“Great food at historic inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

I've eaten here dozens of times and have always been happy. It is an historic inn and the atmosphere in the main dinning room has great atmosphere (not so much in the other dinning areas). The food is classic New England with roast turkey, roast beef, chops and steaks. Service is good, better at dinner than lunch which can be rushed. My wife is in love with the turkey dinner, for me it's more likely the steaks and roast beef.

“Quite a surprise!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

I tried the main dining room and had a fantastic salmon fillet with exquisite vegetables. The service was just OK. I could not see a single person smiling or looking like they enjoyed their job.
I also tried their bakery downstairs and found the young lady taking care of all orders to be quite
outgoing and more than willing to help. The pecan rolls are the best I have ever had.

“Bakery best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012 via mobile

We went to the bakery for a treat after the day at Old Sturbridge Village. This place is filled with so much charm and authenticity. My kids loved the chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate. I tries hermits, a molasses raisin type cookie, that was absolutely amazing. It was very busy and we had already had dinner but I cannot wait to go back for a meal. Will definitely go back next time for the entire experience.
