“great for a special occasion”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

We celebrated our adult daughters birthday for a party of 7 for lunch. They accomodated a cake (this place is widely known for its terrific bakery), accomodate one gluten free ,menu and cake, and a lactose free meal and desert. They were attentive and offered everything smartly and no excess waiting for special requests. We would go back in a second if we lived within an hour of this exemplary establishment.

“Cozy up for a good meal!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

Perfect Sunday retreat, enjoy old Favs like Pot Roast, Turkey Dinner or lighter fare. Great place for families! Service is good, people are frriendly, menu varied and prices reasonable. Very Historic setting, surrounded by natural beauty makes this a nice wedding reception spot. Don't skip tasting the sticky buns, they will melt your heart and by they the take home bakery is on the way to the parking lot! Genuis!

“Love it.”

This was definitely the best Shepard's pie I've ever had and I'd drive 10 hours for dinner every day if I could.

“Great Meeting Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

Over the years, I've had lunch and dinner there with friends from Massachusetts (I'm from Connecticut), and we've always had a good meal with good service. Great ambiance, especially in colder months and when seated within view of the fireplace.

A good choice of food, wine and beer in very cosy surroundings. Staff very friendly and attentive. Restaurant and bar menus cater for a wide range of dinner choices, from a burger to gourmet meal.
