“Nothing Special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

This was the last significant, I thought, local zoo to take our 4 year old budding zoologist. Turns out its not significant, no major animals, giraffes, elephants, zebras, gorillas, etc. Worth an hour visit but not at $14 for adults, $10 for children. Kept him interested but he kept looking for the "real" animals. The facility could use a face lift and it would have been nice if they had cleared the snow from in front of the exhibits.

“Fun place for kids even during the winter.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

This past Christmas vacation we dropped by the Stone Zoo for their special Zoo Lights event.. Although it was very crowded during this evening, the kids (ages: 4,6 &11) enjoyed seeing the Christmas lights, the animals in the cages, the rides, and of course the hot chocolate. Looking forward to seeing this place again during the warmer months.

“Good Masachusetts zoo alternative”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

if we are looking for a zoo locally, we prefer the Stone Zoo to all others. It has a great aviary, and access and parking is easy by car

“It's OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

It's not like a zoo of a major city like DC or Chicago, so don't expect all of those big displays and animals. But it's a decent zoo and walkable. There is an admission (unlike the above).

“Small, But Delightful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

This is a smaller Zoo that most city zoos we have gone to. However, it is just enough for the Grand Kids to enjoy and not get to antsie! Animals are varied and well taken care of. Clean & Friendly. Great afternoon take.
