“Very Friendly Waitstaff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

Looking for a quick lunch before a stop at the Norman Rockwell Museum and the Thursday Farmers' Market in West Stockbridge, so we wandered in. It is very country-ish in decor. We read the menu & checked the special board. Two of us ordered the turkey wrap special (so good)-sweet potatoes incorporated ! One ordered the pear brie melt-yummy. Our waitress (who may have been the owner) shared recipes and processes with us-very friendly. It was quite busy, but efficiently serviced. Will definitely go back next time we are there during the day. I guess they close around 4, but also own Teresa's Cafe (down the alley) which was of course, Alice's Restaurant and is opened at night !

“Rushed and tasteless”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

The waitress had to be on Red Bull. Eggs Benedict - don't bother. Why "dark toast on the English muffins" means warmed, I don't know. Coffee - so, so. The pancakes on the next table looked good.

“OK, but nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

Looking for an alternative breakfast cheaper than the Red Lion's, we tried this café. The eggs, etc., were properly cooked and tasty, but there was nothing really notable about the meal. The wait staff kept forgetting things from our order, and one dish came very late in the meal. Our food got cold as we waited and waited for things like milk for the oatmeal and butter for the toast. My husband was admonished by a waitress to calm down, when he reminded her of something -- very calmly -- for the fourth time. The restaurant is also noisy and chaotic; it was hard to hold a conversation. Perhaps worst, a napkin fell to the floor from the counter, and the waitress picked it up and put it back on the counter with a silverware set-up, rather than throwing it away.

“Delicious”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

We needed a place to eat before going to the Norman Rockwell museum. Main Street Cafe is neat, clean, staff is very friendly and efficient. We chose Quesadillas and asked for glasses of water. The food came quickly and was delicious, an ample serving. We felt they were overpriced however. The bill was $25. Prices had not been on the chalkboard. Delicious but not cheap.
