“Good place, but...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2011

We stayed here with my family and the resort was fine. It is somewhat dated, which from what I understand is typical from other properties on Cape Cod. The kids loved the beach and pool. It was not busy at all so we were able to explore the Cape and easily get into restaurants.
Checking into the hotel seemed a little compliacted. Maybe it was because it was the beginnning of the season. Staff was friendly. Room was clean.
Not too much to boast about this resort, but it was a good place to put your head at night.

We are glad that you and your family enjoyed our Mid -Cape Oceanfront location. We are one of the few Cape Cod hotels that is directly warm water beach front on Nantucket Sound. One of the values visiting Red Jacket Beach Resort is our pools, spacious grounds and 1000 foot private beach. In the summer season we add a multitude of complimentary Family programs entertaining to all ages We strive to provide classic Cape Cod amenities along with activities that will build lasting memories for generations.
I do re call a couple of technical difficuties copying and faxing when you were at reception, which were quickly rectified and we apologize for the inconvienence.

Nice resort but with a few issues, We made our reservation through the Red Jacket 800 number and gave our Discover Card for deposit, and were given our confirmation # with no problem. Then got to the hotel and were told they do not accept Discover cards! Very strange. Breakfast was included but the dining room is small and cramped (and loud) with cold bacon and french toast at the buffet. Two beachfront weddings took place while we were there and staff commented that no one should be on the beach during the weddings. Heavy drinking was going on at thebeach bonfire so we didn't go...The beachfront room was great except for the man pacing above us all night. If we return we wil request the 2nd floor. The manager did give us some money off our bill for the inconvenience, but not enough. Disappointing compaired to the Red Jacket in North Conway..

We just reviewed your comments regarding your recent stay here at Red Jacket Beach. Discover is one of the few credit cards that we are not equipped to process; We apoligize for that inconvenience
Breakfast, when included in a package or purchased a la carte, offers an opportunity to choose a popular selection of served items including our chef's special Belgian waffles topped with your choice of fresh sliced fruit and whipped cream, Eggs benedict and a host of other freshly prepared breafast items. We do offer a hearty buffet altenative stocked with Fresh pastry, muffins, cold cereal, bowls of freshly cut fruit, yougurt, choice of eggs, bacon, pancakes or french toast and a saute style home fried potatoe. As you know we are a family oriented hotel and the breakfast hour can be busy in our 120 seat cafe style Oceanview dining room.
Weekends in the spring and fall we frequently hold a wedding ceremony oceanfront, which has become a must do given the vast 1,000 foot private beach, available to all of our guests. One of outstanding points for brides reserving a wedding ceremony here at Red Jacket Beach is the fact that we only do one wedding per day in order to give that bridal party the undivided attention of our wedding service staff. this also allows for minimal impact on the rest of the guests enjoying amentities of the Red Jacket Beach.
Our goal in regard to guest satisfaction here at Red Jacket Beach Resort is that if there is an issue which negativly impacts a guest experience at the hotel, we will do whatever it takes to seek resolution which is agreed upon as fair.

Very helpfully staff at reception, we only booked one night but like the resort so asked to stay another an they gave us the night at the same price even though the rack rate was a lot higher. We were very pleased with our stay and would stay again.

I have been organizing a girl's weekend usually on the Cape for the last 8 years. In the past we always stayed at the Ocean mist and got two rooms for 6 women. This year the Ocean Mist was not open in May so we decided to try the Red Jacket Inn. Since 6 women were going I booked one of there ranch houses that sleeps 6 from Friday to Sunday. Two of us like to go on Thurs so I booked a regular room for $99 just for Thursday.
When I showed up on Thursday to check in the woman at the desk saw that I had two reservations in my name. She asked me why I wasn't staying in the ranch house on Thursday night and I said that the cost would have been too much. She then said that she would put us in the ranch house for Thursday and honed the $99 rate.
So that right there sold me on the red jacket inn. The ranch house was perfect for us. It was clean and had two full baths. There was a full kitchen. It was nice to be able to hang ou in the living area and anyone who was tired could just go their bed.
The Red Jacket Inn is on the water and right around the corner from the Ocean Mist.
It also happened to be that the Red Jacket Inn was running a promotion for a girl's weekend package that we were not a part off. I spoke to some women when I was in the heated outdoor swimming and they were having a great time with girl's weekend package.
They said the package included two dinners, two breakfasts and all sorts of entertainment for the weekend.
We all said at breakfast on Sunday that this is our new favorite place. So we will go back to
the Red Jacket Inn and may even do the Girl's weekend package.

We are pleased that Red Jacket Beach Resort is your "New Favorite Place". The organized Girls weekend has been a big hit and sells out every year. This spring we had 150 "girls". The package includes most meals and a variety of fun events. As you know we are well situated for a "get away" or a family vacation. We look forward to seeing you back soon.

Six of us had Sunday brunch in the restaurant. Excellent service! Superb food! The Executive Chef was very friendly.
We plan to try dinner there soon.

Our Chef enjoyed speaking with you on Sunday. During the Summer season June 26 through Labor Day we also serve dinner every night. Weather permitting we do a family friendly buffet served outside at the Oceanview Grill. A Variety of entertainers perform each night during dinner adding to the experience. Our buffet frequently is themed with a special price for children creating a good value. We look forward to your return.

I went to the Red Jacket for a weekend with 2 friends. We have never been able to get away together because of crazy schedules so I was really looking forward to our weekend away. My weekend away could not have been better. The hotel was great, the room was very clean and spacious. The grounds were fantastic. Nothing better than sitting on your balcony and looking at the ocean. The staff was very accomodating and the food was good. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are trying to plan a little get away with all the 3 families for this summer. Can't wait to go back!

Marguerite, Glad to hear that your get away was a succes and that you enjoyed the ambience and location here at Red Jacket Beach. If we can be of any assistance in planning a multi family summer get together let us know. Our capability to locate families together in some of our multi-bedroom cottages or have guest rooms together with the ability to share decks by removing partiions is one of the secrets that our loyal families have recognized. Over the years generations of families have returned and shared memories of a Cape Cod vacation at the beach.

This was my 2nd trip to RJ. My first was w/ husband and 3 kids in the summer which was just perfect. Lots for the kids to do- s'mores on the beach, crab racing, scavenger hunts- not to mention the beach, indoor pool and outdoor pool! I also really liked having the restaurant and bar grill on premises so we could enjoy a good meal without packing everyone back in the car. This last trip was a girls' wknd- it was just as wonderful. Completely relaxing- beautiful views, great walks on the beach, the Spa. Plus the staff was more than helpful with our many questions of the different sites we were interesting in seeing while we were there. Already planning my next visit!!

Room Tip: corner room over looking pool and beach
