“See the room first...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

My daughter and I were having a girl's weekend. The hotel was a good deal price wise, and good location, the photos online were attractive. We stayed in a double. Perhaps the king room is better? But I am very confused by the comments about the rooms being renovated. Ours could not have possibly been. Perhaps they had not gotten around to it as we asked for a second floor.True, the bathroom was clean and nice, but the toilet seat had a broken bolt, the soaps were wrapped but moist from a previous shower I suppose, we brought our own.. The cups however were not wrapped, neither in the bathroom nor for coffee on the fridge. We did not use them of course. The rest of the list is this: The smell in the room, I could not describe, not smoke, not musty, just not clean smelling. The coat rack is coming away from the wall. The fridge door was sticky, inside dirt, and there was spill stains on the bureau. The remote was also sticky we did not use the tv or the remote. We needed to use cleaning wipes on most surfaces. The outside door needed a shove to close. The left sided bed was poorly made , dust ruffle shoved under mattress, wrinkled sheets, and the mattress creaked! I thought they didn't make those kind of mattresses anymore. My daughter kept saying that the right side bed sheets felt sticky. The chair felt sticky and had paint drips, I assume from painting the ceiling. The worse part was that I use a cpap machine and when I went to plug it in behind the night stand, the dirt was truly thick and disgusting. We did not however see any bugs as others have said. Yes the owner was pleasant, and I believe she works hard as she was also the room keeper, but I would not recommend nor stay here again. We are not complainers and respect hard work. so we made the best of a bad situation, but I feel that the truth should be told in order to get this to be a top motel, as I am sure the owners are working hard to make it that way. Again, I advise you to see the room first and check out the things I mentioned.

We needed to book a room at the Cape on short notice. Fortunately, we found Cape Shore Inn. The newly renovated room was clean and comfortable. Likewise, the pool was very clean . . . and huge. The hosts were very personable and accommodating. It's nice to know they won't tolerate rowdy guests. We will definitely return.

Needed a cheap place to stay for one night to meet up woth friends who were staying at another hotel nearby! 1 first mistake paid before i saw room, 2nd mistake paid in cash, after viewing our room it smelled horrific, bathroom door would not close or lock, stain on sheets! When went back to say we could not stay in these condtions and asked for money back they refused! Also charged my card that was not authorized! Waiting for that to be cleared up! Please do not go any where near this place do your self a favor and look else where!

Room Tip: Dont stay anywhere near here drive by and keeo going

We are sorry that you wanted to leave early. We do not accomodate 5 adults in a room. You spend the whole day and then asked for a refund is against the hotel policy.we even were ready to chage the room and give her different room but she wanted a refund after having been in the room for the whole day.We do understand your frustration but the hotel has been recently renovated and all the bathroom doors are new and they shut good.sheets are washed at cape cod laundry and are very clean.Housekeeper can make mistakes sometimes but for that we wanted you to have another room but you never agreed for any change.

Sure, it's a motel, and it was totally what we needed on our vacation. The owners gave great directions for getting to the closest beach, .7miles away, just about a 15 minute walk. We drove to three different beaches, arrived @9am and parked right next to the entrance to the beach. Rooms were clean. Wall a/c unit was adequately keeping us cool (90's+ temps). Nice rooms. Ice machine always had ice. Fridge in room kept our stuff almost icy cold, which is good when you're taking stuff to the beach with you. Decent continental breakfast. Close to EVERYTHING. Our fancy dinner was just a few miles away. Pool beautiful, warm, and huge! Very well kept. Parking wasn't bad, either. Didn't hear noises from neighboring rooms. Must be family owned. Wife checked me in, saw husband and son doing work around the property - setting up umbrellas, readying the picnic areas, changing light bulbs out by the pool, taking out trash to the dumpster. They really cared!

Room Tip: Inexpensive, has everything you need, very close to beach without the 'close to beach cost'...

We had a great time when we stayed at Cape Shore Inn (their new name). It had everything. Whole place has been renovated and new. Our room was very neat and clean...loved the bathroom...it was all up to date and very nice. We really enjoyed the pool too. It was also very clean. We even used the picnic areas for lunch and snack time. Staff was super nice and very kind, friendly and knowledgeable. They made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was great with lots of options to choose from. Overall it was a great experience.

Definitely, book with them!
