“amazing baked apple”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

Cool decor. You do have to wait to get in. Good portions. home fries not so good. The menu is good and has a good range of specials as well. But the highlight for me was my baked apple and if you go with someone and they have the cream of wheat the dip your apple in that!

“Plentiful portions, terrible service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

Neighborhood Restaurant serves large portions of decent food at a very low price. The place must be very popular because you have to wait for a long time to get in. The service is terrible. The waiter that called us in insulted us without any provocation on our side. She apparently had an issue with my name. The waiter that served us at the table was very nice, and tried to make up for her colleague's rudeness. It is however clear that the rude, surly attitude by their staff is accepted by the owners.

“How many ways cans I say I LoveYou? Let me start...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

This place is fantastic, it's the attention to detail that set a Breakfast apart from the rest. The inside is funky with it's green walls and pink trim, it is also very small so timing is everything. Don't worry because they supply coffee outside while you add your name to the waiting list.
When you sit down, you are given a small complementary glass of fresh squeezed orange juice orange, a very nice touch. There is a lot to choose from on the menu, I had the $4.99 breakfast; 3 eggs with toast and home fries. I was then offered a choice of either Creme of wheat or fresh fruit. I choose the Creme of wheat and OMG it was Great!! Made with a heavy cream, sugar and a touch of lemon, it is Heaven in a bowl. I have never tasted any breakfast food so decadent. The eggs and potatoes were good and the toast which is an assortment of homemade, delicious Portuguese breads (which are available for purchase) finished things off nicely.

“coffee flavored coffee...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

My son and his girlfriend were surprise when we drove by and there was no line out front. They looked at each other, smiled and said "lets go"!

Inside it is small but very welcoming. The menu has the basic breakfast fare, but the specials are amazing. I only wish I had room after the day before of Thanksgiving pigging out. However, the waitress is super friendly, the coffee is basic and well...real coffee.

TIP: cash only

“Always satisfying!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

If a friend comes to visit, I take them here for breakfast at least one morning! The servings are so big you will not need lunch. They menu has plenty of choices, including "healthy" ones. The service is fantastic! Weather allowing, the outdoor seating area is very nice: picnic tables under a vine. I highly recommend this place for the tourist who wants to fuel up for the day for a really nice value.
