very nice hotel for the price we paid. the room was clean, the a/c worked fine, and the shower/bathroom was also very clean. the pool was nice, the free breakfast wasn't great but it was better than nothing.

This hotel was good for the price you pay and the reputation of the chain itself. Our room was clean and tidy and typical for a super 8 room. The bathroom was also clean. The check in staff was polite and curtious. It is near some fun attractions and a quick drive to other locations. I would avoid the breakfast in the morning, its pretty dismal. The restaurant next door however, was WONDERFUL. I had the BEST prime rib EVER there! Even my husband ate it and he hates prime rib. I would recomend that as a quite and delicious place to eat.

Where do I begin??

I drove up to notice a filthy parking lot, trash everywhere. I was checked in, then opened my room and was greeted by a musty smell...where it came from, I don't know. The walls were very thin, and I clearly heard neighbors having, um, relations. I complained at the front desk and asked if I could be moved to another room because the noise was so bad, they told me no. I go back to my room. Bedding smelled musty too...not sure it was clean. Went to put sodas in the in room fridge...surprise!...the fridge didn't work. Once again, downstairs to complain and ask for another room. Once again, denied. They didn't allow refunds here, or I would have gladly got one and stayed somewhere else.

FOr a better night's stay, travel a little farther and stay in the Travelodge in Middletown, RI...I had a very nice stay there!

We had business in Newport RI and this was affordable accomodations about 30 minutes from Newport. The staff was polite.
The room was clean, neat, and a fair value for the rate. (appox. $60) The bed was pretty comfortable and the bathroom tidy.
Our only major beef would be the continental breakfast; it was pretty bleak---poor coffee, a few stale donuts and one choice of cereal. But, a Dunkin Donuts is about 1 minute up the street. I recommend you throw on your ballcap and hit the drive-thru.
We are returning to the area in December and will stay here again.
PS---avoid the Italian Rest next door. Yuck!
