I was not impressed with this hotel. Although our room was large and clean, the lobby and hallways smelled horrible, which I attributed to the carpeting. They need to close down for a couple of weeks and either clean or replace all of the carpeting in the public areas. They could also improve on their amenities; two days we were there they failed to order enough newspapers so we weren't able to get one; they ran out of disposable hot cups so I had to carry a regular cup of coffee up to my room so that I could wake up before going down for breakfast. The breakfast was OK but inconsistant. Tow days there was no fruit offered but the other three there was fruit.
Most of the staff was pleasant but there was one young lady who seemed like she could not care less about our questions.
I wouldn't stay here again.

Our room was recently updated and was great. Plenty of space and comfortable. The service was super. You can tell the students really try hard and are well trained. The food was great in Audreys. The hotel offered a lot of service and a great place to stay and eat for the price. Gourmet food for the price of may chain restaurants. I would like to come back for a stay and learn how to cook package.

After a day in Newport, RI we headed home to Massachusetts but it got late so on the spur of the moment, we decided to stay overnight someplace. DID WE LUCK OUT! We found the Johnson and Wales Inn in Seekonk, MA and were lucky enough to secure a room without a reservation! What a find! The moment we entered the lobby we felt at home. The staff were friendly and courteous. The decor is New England Colonial and says "welcome". Our room was done in Colonial style as well with a relaxing whirlpool bath and cozy ambiance. After a relaxing drink at the bar in "Audrey's Restaurant, we had an exemplary dinner (As it should be since the hotel is run by the world famous Johnson and Wales University known for their culinary arts school). The next morning was Sunday and Audrey's offered a full breakfast buffet but there is also a complimentary continental breakfast offered for those with lighter fare in mind. We would recommend this Inn to anyone. A thoroughly delightful stay at a reasonable price.
We will return and make it our base for a day in Providence, RI or it's environs.

“Home away from home”

I have traveled half way around the world and stayed in a lot of hotels and i must tell you this hotel knows how to make you feel at home. I arrived very late and i was not to pleasant at check in. The young man greeted me with a warm smile and quickly check me in and told me i looked like i had a long flight and that he had upgraded me and all i said was i couldnt wait to kick off my shoes and have a cup of tea and relax. When i reached my room it was very large and a big king bed and about ten minutes later a knock on my door with a bellman with a cup of tea and cookies for me. I must say i was totally surprised and very please, I called the desk and thank them and also apologised for being cranky at check in. This hotel knows how to deliver service.I must say great hotel nice rooms and a wonderful staff.

Stayed here 2 nights in an executive suite room number 250. We had a great room. It was very clean, and very.very large! Two double beds and a pullout sofa. The sitting area was huge, it had a micro and a refrig.

There were 4 (yes 4) easy chairs in the room! The bathroom was huge and there was plenty of room to store your toiletries. The towels were fine and plentiful.

We had no complaints of noise or smells, and our room was the first one in the hallway......that's why I think it may have been a little bit bigger than most.

They offered warm home made cookies and lemonade in the lobby on Friday night. The free continental breakfast was more than adequate and the coffee was good. Also, there was a coffee maker in the room.

My only complaint was that the only mirror in the room was in the bathroom and it was not a full length one. It was hard to put make up on and I had to wait for my hsuband to be done in the shower.
