I've been to the Cape several times but being the only person in the family interested in this sort of thing, have been picky about what to tour. This place looked rather uninteresting but I thought I'd give it a shot since, after all, my mother-in-law lives a mile from it.
It turns out that it was utterly fascinating! The caretaker, Dave -----, could not have been more elucidating or expansive on the subject of the house or its various incarnations throughout the centuries. I learned more about early Western Eurporean life on the Cape than I ever had, with the house and Wing family serving as examples.
I would totally recommend a stop at this site and I think I can lure my boys there now that they have heard that it's haunted!
