We had no idea the Heritage Museums and Gardens would be so extensive. The grounds themselves are beautiful, with many gorgeous flowers and interesting walkways. We enjoyed the labyrinth built in to the edge of the forest. And the numerous museums are all worth visiting. I didn't think I was that interested in classic cars, but the stunning car museum changed my mind! I found myself reading description after description to find out more about the cars and the part they played in history. There was a temporary exhibit while we were there in one of the other buildings which highlighted Norman Rockwell's works. We LOVED this exhibit, which showed how he set up his works with photos and models before starting to paint. There is also a classic carousel in its own building.
The gardens, the museums, the view of the lake beyond --- it's all worth seeing. And if you get tired of walking --- there is a handy little shuttle you can thumb a ride on. Very glad we went!
